Lovely staff, very personable. Great drinks and ambience and nice selection of food. My husband had the Angus steak and really enjoyed it and I had the Tuna bowl which was very delicious. Thank you!

We wanted to try this place for a while and decided to go on a cold Autumn Friday night. Three of us. While looking at the menu, nothing popped up as being a "we have to have this dish", although the blood pudding was on everyone's wish list. We thus decided to go for a "tapas-style" evening, ordering many different... More

The food is so expensive for the price and underwhelming. It cost 128$ for appetizers and 5 glasses. The clamar a la plancha were absolutely the worst I've ever eaten. The tomato sauce made everything soft and they were overcooked. My cat wouldn't have liked them. Please change chef. Montreal is a city that knows its food. You can fool... More

Hotel recommended Le Valois. Service was very good and attentive. Opted for the "Filet de Canett" and the "Foie de Veau", both were excellent; no disappointment here! Will go back when in Montreal again.

Le Valois sits in the heart of HOMA, one of the trendiest neighborhoods in Montreal. Do not miss the gourmet boutiques around Place Valois nearby. Exceptional food, superb atmosphere.

I eat here with my family for weekend brunch whenever we visit Montreal. The brunch is delicious, the service fast and friendly and the setting is lovely. The patio in the summer is a great spot, looking out on Place Simon Valois. We sometimes stay near Parc Olympique, so the location is quite convenient.

The braised meat of the day was beef with gnocchi, mushrooms and amazing sauce. My adjectives will not do it justice. Delicious paired with a Duoro wine recommended by our waiter. Just go and appreciate the value for $$$.

Our little family had brunch at this lovely restaurant with some friends and their baby. The décor is nice and modern with huge windows down the whole side, so lots of wonderful natural light. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Despite the classy look, they are clearly used to children. There is a childrens’ menu and there were many... More

Staying in Olympic Park & Hochelaga-Maisonneuve (HoMa)

Neighbourhood Profile
Olympic Park & Hochelaga-Maisonneuve (HoMa)
Named for the Olympic Stadium complexes built for the 1976 games, the Olympic Park and the surrounding neighbourhood of Hochelaga-Maisonneuve (HoMa) make up an invigorated area dedicated to "Space for Life." Around the Olympic Village's arenas and stadiums, Rue Sherbrooke welcomes exploration of its sculpture gardens decorated in the works of Jean-Paul Riopelle and its museum culture headed by the historical Château Dufresne. Maisonneuve Park offers interactive experiences at its bio-dome, insectarium, planetarium, and botanical gardens. For a change of scene, the gentrified space along Rue Ontario Est is packed with the city's newest, edgiest cafes, where an imaginative, youthful crowd sips foamy cappuccinos. A visit here is incomplete without stepping into the vast halls of the Maisonneuve Market, with flower stalls, wine depots, and local produce.
