Wonderful French cooking - they had a wide selection on the menu. While they specialize in rabbit dishes they had many other options as well! We had a delightful dinner - make a reservation as seating is limited.

We visited Le Lapin Sauté based on a friends recommendation last evening and we weren't let down. We called somewhat last minute and they were still able to fit us in. When we walked in, the waitress approached us by name and she seated us promptly. The restaurant was on one of the most romantic winter streets I have ever... More

We stopped for a late lunch at Le Lapin Saute during a recent trip to old Quebec city. The restaurant was full and the tables were tightly spaced, but we were still comfortable. We started with the carrot and orange soup which was fragrant and homemade. My husband opted for the traditional French rabbit cassoulet served with beans and sausage.... More

If you want to try French-Canadian food at its best, in a quaint little hideaway, this is the place. We didn't make a reservation (which we should have), but they took our names and it was barely a half hour wait, which is easily spent shopping or walking the streets of historic Lowertown. Delicious, French onion soup, rabbit cassoulet, duck... More

Fabulous food in a fun casual atmosphere. Reasonably priced if not inexpensive. Absolutely have the rabbit/duck platter. Desserts wonderful, too.

We had a lovely time sitting by the fire in this cozy little restaurant. Our server Fannie was bubbly, friendly and spoke very well in English. Unfortunately my main was a little dry (rabbit cassoulet) but upon mentioning it to Fanny it was removed from our bill no questions asked. Would love to come back in in the summer and... More

Glad to have managed to bag a table at this busy little restaurant. We enjoyed delicious rabbit poutine as well as a couple of glasses of hot cider. Would recommend making a reservation if you wish to eat here during busy times, since it seems to fill up with hungry diners fast!

Le Lapin Sauté is a classic with locals and tourists. It's warm atmosphere is a great place to stop for a drink and snack while exploring the lovely Petit Champlain. Reservations are recommended for dinner as the dining area is extremely small. The menu is mostly Québec comfort food (crêpes, charcuterie and cheeses, an interesting rabbit poutine)

My boyfriend and I came here for dinner in December 2016. There was about a 20 minute wait for dinner, but the restaurant took our names and we wandered off for a drink elsewhere. No issues upon our return - table was waiting for us. The restaurant is very busy, but honestly the food was so good I wasn't paying... More
