This was our third visit to Barfleur and it would not be complete without a meal at this cafe!! Again we were not disappointed. Service is fast and efficient and the food is delicious! I had Moules Normandie and my husband had a cassoulet aux trios poissos! We shared a creme brûlée to finish! Gorgeous!

Moules à la Normandie absolutely delicious. Frites also very nice. Service was very friendly and food arrived almost within minutes. However, do not think that the service is so fast to get rid of you as soon as possible. The sun was out and all tables on the terrace were taken but none of the staff put pressure on anyone... Great honest to goodness seafood, very good value, very friendly, on the harbour quay. Moules frites the numero uno!

Haven't reviewed this place for four years, so an update is in order. Pricing and service still very good, wonderful harbourside location obviously unchanged, food competently cooked as always. (One caveat: don't touch the calamari: fishy-tasting doughnuts. Aaagh.) Dish of the day was scallops; they were excellent.

Came for a trip down memory lane, as had not been here for a decade... the changes? ... improved toilets, and the proprietor has gone grey! Had a light lunch involving a croque monsieur, a super omelette frites, and soupe de poissons. The latter was even better than remembered. You haven't visited Barfleur properly, if you haven't come here!

Never been disappointed here. Unprtentious local cafe. Great for morning coffee, lunch, evening dinner and people watching. Local traditional fare, properly cooked with fresh local produce. Good place to sit, eat, chat and watch the world go by.

This is a very popular, busy restaurant. Thankfully we had booked a table. We enjoyed all the component parts that go into an evening meal in a small, French seaside town.

We went to this lovely café twice during our stay and both times had some of the best moules I've eaten! First was the classic moule marinieres and second was moules Normandes (white wine with cream, parsley. Very friendly service and a lovely view from the terrace of the harbour.

Sunday lunch on the way to the boat to go home; moules frites, really lovely fresh yellow moules: croque monsieur, rich. service excellent (yes, fast, short season, but really slick). crevettes large and plentiful, illes flottante in custard delicious, and size wise more based on sicily than malta. Yes, the locals got served first (about 2 mins), but they are... More

We had the €19 menu. Oysters for starters (fab) mussels for main (goodish) creme brulee for pud ( wonderful). Moules sauce bit tasteless but husbands 3 fish in cheesy sauce delicious, packed with fish, and his cafe gourmand (coffee with 3 mini deserts) scrumptious. We sat outside with a great view of the harbour and watched the fishing boats unloading... More
