We were staying at the hotel, of which this restaurant is an integral part, and it seemed natural to dine here on the 1st (Saturday) night. The food was very good, and reasonably priced: there's no a la carte, just a choice from a set menu. Sadly, the night we chose, the main thing which appealed to me on the... More

Five of us enjoyed a delicious Mother's Day lunch at this very lovely restaurant today. The menu was three courses for £32.00, the choice was perfect for each course. I had salmon to start, followed by a wonderful roast lamb with beautifully cooked veg. The beef was considered excellent by my husband. Sticky toffee pudding left me feeling like I... More

The service was very efficient, albeit the food was a little rich for our delicate taste, Dorothy and her staff should be congratulated, breakfast is excellent with a good choice and freshly cooked.

We enjoyed a nice birthday meal at Reeds. The owner of the establishment was delightful and attended to us promptly with drinks. The menu was exquisite as it has a proper chef putting it together. Every dish in or three course meal was balanced in flavours yet not overfilling. The presentation of plated art work included foam over scallops, sorbet... More

The first course - scallops - was very good, probably the best scallops we've had so although not all the accompaniments worked you've happy to ignore that. Good warm home made bread. Second course was a plate with too much decoration and not enough sustenance. Prefer my meat slightly less chewy and with a little more vegetable but not bad.... More

We ate at Reeds on Tuesday 28th July for an Anniversary Meal. FAB-u-lous!!! Their new chef is amazing. The food and presentation were second to none. Great value with a 3 course meal being £26! It shows that he has been Michelin trained. There was plenty of each course but not overfacing. The deconstructed Black Cherry cheesecake was something else!... More

part of a hotel, this restaurant is bright, airy and comfortable. The food is first class and the service great. The owner came and introduced herself after the meal. We have lived nearby for 7 years and this is the first time we have been here, but not the last.
