Had lunch today, staff great and the food was superb, would definitely visit again. There is a choice of what temperature you like your beer served.

Lovely food with great flavours. The pace of service was very good. Service was spot on. Would highly recommend and we are definitely going again. Booking essential to guarantee a table.

Until this month, I hadn't eaten at The Galley before and now I'm slightly disappointed that I hadn't and wished I'd visited sooner! On arriving we were made to feel like long lost friends - lots of smiles and a really warm welcoming feeling. We were shown to our table upstairs (thought there was only a downstairs eating space so... More

Lovely intimate restaurant, attentive staff. Amazing fish dishes at a reasonable value for money price. Also good puddings! Also Madeleine Peryoux music playing - one of my favourites.

We visited this fabulous little gem last weekend whilst visiting our son at University and can honestly say that it was a really wonderful dining experience. Wonderful seafood, terrific service, local ingredients and all caringly put together. Nothing was a problem and the front of house team seemed to take great pride in what they did. The food was truly... More

We are here for our second valentines at this restaurant. I'm eternally glad that we returned for the second year running, the service was amazing as always, extremely polite and always making sure you have what you need. The food was one of a kind; I recommend the monkfish or sea bream, but to honest anything you order will be... More

Well Another great birthday celebrated at this fantastic restaurant. We decided to have Lobster Thermidor and it was cooked to perfection. This a lovely relaxed fine dining restaurant where nothing is too much trouble. I personally like the little extras they provide with your meal specialty breads and the homemade petit fours are to die for. You get a very... More

Sitting down in this small cozy restaurant that could use some TLC! The young waiter was fantastic. Attentive and knowledgeable. The older waiter (owner?) seemed to disrupt the service and experience. The food was perfectly cooked and presented. The innovative fish dishes are unique well priced for the quality! Will return, food and the young waiter were perfect!

Went for dinner with some family. The staff were courteous and polite. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was great. The food was to die for (especially the white chocolate panna cotta) and the portion size was just right. We weren't kept waiting at all either. All in all I cannot praise this restaurant enough,

3 Thank Steven S

Here at The Galley Topsham we want to impress you with 'the best of Devon on a plate'. We are passionate about serving you the freshest fish and seafood, simply and stylishly presented, together with exciting meat and vegetarian options sourced from local farms so we think we have something for everybody. We have a daily changing menu which means we only serve what is in season and locally available, so you can be sure that what you are eating is of the best quality. Our a la carte menu is available at lunch and dinner. At lunch we offer a special menu of two courses for £16. So whether it's a long lingering dinner, a light lunch or a business engagement we have something to suit you. We love wine and have worked hard to create a balanced wine list that includes top favourites along with some interesting options you may not be so familiar with. We are very happy to recommend a wine to go with any of our dishes so please do ask. The atmosphere in the restaurant is relaxed and friendly. We have no dress code and we warmly welcome families with children. Great food is nothing without great service however and we put a huge emphasis on matching the service to your needs. Nigel is on hand front of house to greet you with a friendly smile and make sure you relax and enjoy your meal. With our unique location on Topsham Quay and fabulous views over the River Exe you can soak up the atmosphere of this ancient sea port from the comfort of our two dining rooms.
