We visited this lovely restaurant with some friends who live locally (we were visiting from England!). What a fantastic experience. The food was delicious with great wines to accompay (we didn't try the Vodka but have it on good authority it is good too!).

Came here for our one-year anniversary and could not have been happier. The staff were fantastic the food was delicious and they even took part in the Polish customary "smacznego" when our meals were served. My partner forgot her handbag and the owner rang me and waited (long after closing time I might add) until we picked it back up.... More

Checked out a new area and found this. Of course I checked TA. WOW.. the food was amazing. I had venison and he had paprika beef. Chocolate for desert. It was new food to us and if we lived in wellington would become a regular. Family run business and they are all lovely, service was warm and friendly. Thanks for... More

Visited this friendly little neighbourhood establishment with two workmates for a meal after work - and so glad we did Service was prompt, friendly and unpretentious - a really nice way to finish a long day Main meals were very good - obviously made with care and fresh homemade ingredients - my venison special was especially good as was the... First time here, so wasn't sure what to expect. The food was delicious, plenty of it but managed to save room to share dessert, great atmosphere, and excellent service. Highly recommend it, I will be going back for sure. We shared the antipasto between 4, loved the different breads and great tasting nibbles. 4 different mains, duck, chicken schnitzel, beef... More

We had never been to a Polish restaurant so had not idea what to expect. We had the duck, chicken schnitzel, almond & pear tart, poppyseed cake. All dishes were delicious and beautifully presented. The mains were preceded by a matching wodka that had to be drunk "down the hatch" so as to fully appreciate the flavours of the main meal. The... We had been told so much about this traditional Polish restaurant by our friends we had to go and see for ourselves. A tiny little bistro set on the main road in Plimmerton, a suburb of Porirua, it only seats about 20-24 people and this night it was nearly full. We decided not to do the matching vodkas with each... Great experience with my familia in the only wlg polish restaurant. I can't recommend KURCZAK De VOLAILLE dish enough, it was incredible (you have to like butter, herbs and mushrooms). The only criticism is that the outside of the restaurant looked bad, chairs were stacked almost as if it was closed, not sure why, maybe they only use the outside... More

Hi there, Thank you for taking the time to review us. So glad you enjoyed it! Sorry about the furniture being packed up when it's moderately windy/stormy our chairs blow away and tables break so we have to tuck them away. We do realize it's not optimal. Hope to see you again soon. Kind Regards, Val More

The service and food was great. Although I prefer not to order Polish food, but I am not Polish and I haven't liked the Polish food the previous times that I visited. This time it was lovely, I had vegetarian parcels, partner lamb, daughter Venison and husband Duck, all enjoyed by all.

Cheerful local community feel to the place. Great outdoor space for a wine in the sun if you choose. Had the anti pesto platter and pate. Nice and quick.
