This is the fourth January on the trot that I have booked a table for 18 people for lunch on a Sunday while visiting Butlins. The food has been good quality and reasonably priced while the drinks not overpriced like so many pubs nowadays. As for the staff, they are always friendly and helpful. Some of us even returned for lunch on Monday before heading home from our weekender. We'll be returning againnext January!

After deciding to move to the area we wanted to visit the local eateries and paid a visit to the Fox. Located only a few minutes from the beach this historic pub has a great atmosphere and a cosy feel. We were impressed by the menu and also there was daily specials board . We ordered fish dishes which were tasty, fresh and reasonably priced.

We came in for breakfast, is strange times, so staff wearing visors and gloves. Had to order the food at the table, via an app, which took me a while. I believe alot of people would not be able to manage that. So I believe seeing as we were literally the only customers, at that point they'd of been better off just asking us what we would like?? Asked for more tea, got the tea, no more milk or sugar. So we had to ask for more. Also I had to ask for the cutlery when our food arrived. I'd of expected exemplary service seeing as at that point we were the only customers. So when they are busy, I'd hate to think what the service is like. Yes I understand, is strange times, but service just not up to scratch. The breakfast was quite nice, apart from the toast was hardly cooked and cold, and the butter packs melted too much as were probably under the hot plate a long time. We won't be back for the food. The place does have a very large and lovely garden though, so we may be back for a drink sometime.

Such a huge disappointment. We took our niece our to dinner just prior to Christmas and I cannot believe how awful the food was. I had satay chicken and was warned it was spicy. It was at least Madras hot, I did not mind too much, but this is not satay sauce. My husband ordered Chicken liver Parfait. It came our looking like hot chocolate and thinner than hot chocolate. How anyone is supposed to eat it is beyond me. My husband ordered Confit of Duck for his main course with dauphinois potatoes. It looked absolutely terrible, just a mass of mess on a plate. The so called potatoes were hidden under a duck leg and were almost non existent and had the consistency of mash. This is a dish we order regularly in other places and what was served up was not edible. My husband politely complained and had a small taste of his food which tasted of salt. He did not eat anything. The staff were lovely and told us several times that the manager would talk to us but he never did. We paid the bill in full and will never go back. My husband went home hungry. I have to say the pub was very busy and most people seemed happy with their roast dinners and burgers but the cook definitely needs some training and the manager should have taken the time to listen to customers.

Being new to the area, I followed recommendations to eat at The Fox Inn, Felpham. My wife was away so I took the opportunity to have lunch there and having checked the menu before hand decided to have the steak pie with mashed potato and veg ....... with a pint! I have to say that from the moment I arrived until the moment I left the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Just what you want! Having signed in for Track & Trace my order was taken and I sat and waited... but not for too long. The young lady who served my food was very friendly and helpful fetching the condiments for me. The food when it arrived was hot and I just coudnt believe the size of the steak pie. It was a large wedge, very thick and full to the brim with meat. It was very tasty and filling! The mashed potato was also very tasty and moresome especially with the jug of gravy. My original plan was to enjoy a traditional pudding and Sticky Toffee was calling me. But having enjoyed the pie I had no room for pudding. That for me is a great sign of a good portion of food. Yes, I had a great experience and will definately return although with my wife next time. My thanks to the staff for being so helpful.

So a party of 4 of us went there yesterday 30/1/22 for Sunday Lunch and the food was absolutely disgraceful. The meals were cold, the meat wasn't cooked properly and the Fish was over cooked, rubbery and cold, not one of us ate are meals. When we complained there was no apologise and they only took one meal off the bill even though not one meal was eaten. This is not the first time this has happened but we thought we would give it another go to see if things have changed. Sadly they haven't, ever since the new owners took over the Pub the food has gone down hill, to be honest i do not know how they are surviving serving the sort of food

We had a table for three booked for 1pm on Sunday and arrived on time. We were greeted by very friendly staff and allowed to sit anywhere so chose to sit in garden area. All of us are vegetarian and the Sunday menu only had cheese and chutney, egg sandwiches or a veggie burger. The sandwiches had gluten free options. Other than this with a nut roast these were the only options for vegetarians. For gluten free it was two sandwiches as we were told by staff nothing else on the menu could be made gluten free. After talking to the chef he said he could do the roast potato's parsnips and carrots gluten free but the nut roast was not available as gluten free. So one of us had nut roast roast (they forgot to add the Yorkshire pudding and we had to ask for the carrots and cauliflower cheese) the gluten free version was a couple of potatoes some runner beans and two very thin carrots and two very small parsnip slices. At £13.95 we were left very very disappointed. The veggie burger was nicely presented but the actual burger was a soft paste of something with no taste, and it was served on WOOD. The food was an hours wait from ordering and they were not that busy. The staff seemed to have no idea on gluten allergies and the menu was aimed 75% at meat eating customers. Even though several friends highly recommended the Fox we will not be going back unless the make a few simple practical changes.

We had a long weekend in Bognor Regis and came across this lovely pub a short walk from our hotel down a side road from the Promenade. With two dogs in tow, the staff were extremely friendly and the food very fresh with good portion sizes. Everyone in the pub, both staff and customers were so friendly and we ate here twice during our stay. If we came back to Bognor we would certainly drop into the Fox Inn again and have no negatives to comment on whatsoever.

Myself husband and our dog visited here yesterday, track and trace was set up at the entrance and there is a one way system. Such a lovely cosy pub, the music was at the right volume, not so high that we couldn’t have a conversation. I ordered the steak and vegetable pie/pud with mash veg and gravy followed by the treacle sponge and custard, I couldn’t fault the food, but my husband ordered the scampi and chips, hubby said the chips were very dry and seemed to have been over cooked. Dogs are very welcomed and my dog had a fuss made over her. I can recommend this pub and next time we are in the area we will definitely pop in again.

I was with a friend driving through the local lanes and we spotted this pub on our travels. It was friends choice. (I was paying..) She had a brie and cranberry toastie, (includes light side salad and crisps.) I am a burger person. Not a cheap burger and sadly, it was over cooked (see photo.) Good points – free parking (ignore the sign that says check in at bar.. but all customers welcome!).. GREAT salad dressing, (long time since I have tasted a mustard based one as standard.) Outdoor garden. Downsides – garden furniture needs replacing where we sat. (See photo), wooden boards that the food is served on – need replacing with ceramic IMO.. the boards have been through the wash so much they are warped and wobble! Loos very outdated and tatty. (The owners have tried to paint it and make it nice, but IMO it is in need of a total replacement, including the open top cubicle ;-) There was a slight element of chaos at both the bar and on service. But they were just about coping on a busy bank holiday. I would rate it as 6.5/10 as not a cheap eat…

We had a Netball Tournement at Butlins Bognor Regis on the 7-9th July 2023 on Saturday night we decided to go to The Fox in Felpham for our Evening Meal. From when I made a call to book the table for 18 people nothing was to much trouble for them,we paid a £5 deposit per head and pre-ordered, Both Oli and George very helpful even when we phone ahead to add another person to the Party on the Saturday afternoon, nothing was to much trouble for them. Also our compliments to the Chef who made sure all the meals were served together and they well all very tasty and hot. We would highly recommend this Venue to anyone wanting to have a great evening if you are visit ing this area. Great Pub Great Staff and Great Food.

We booked several weeks in advance and came here for Sunday lunch. A nice old pub with friendly staff . We all chose the roast dinner ( with different meat ) and were not disappointed. Very nicely done with good portions. My only complaint is that I don’t think sweet corn belongs on a roast dinner and as it was mixed in with the peas it was difficult to avoid. No other green veg was provided unfortunately.

We loved coming here but recently it has gone downhill. Ordered our food and after an hour they come out and say we haven't got a certain item...... Sunday menu is quite basic.. not for the fussy eaters. Food was cold and for the roast dinner, 1 parsnip and 1 carrot as the veg but it did taste nice.

The food was mediocre at best, didn’t come together so one person either had cold food or ate alone. Plates cold food fairly tasteless. Can’t believe all the reviews praising this restaurant. Staff average.
