If you are going to stay in Zanzibar you should absolutely go to The Rock! There are no excuses not to go! The food is exquisite, we can especially recommend the sea food plate, lobster and the vanilla gnocchi! We went twice and both time we had the best time...The stuff even made sure we got the best table with... More

Very tasty food, great staff and a view from the sea. Really different! Expensive for the island but it worth.

The Rock is what you expect it to be. We (4 people) had dinner at low tide just before sunset but the sun sets behind the palm trees on the other side of the restaurant. Of course it's quite fun to imagine that you're in a restautant situated on a rock in the ocean. We had a bottle of Chardonnay... More

And that's exactly what sets their service standard. The food is overpriced and the waiters are only just friendly enough. The place is a gimmick, build it on a rock and they will come..

My friend and I have heard about The Rock. We decided we would stay in Paje, which is very close and in the same area. We didn't go for dinner because we had an inclusive package at our hotel. We decided to go for drinks on the terrace. What an excellent choice we made. The view was amazing. The color... More

A stop at The Rock is a memorable experience which begins with a short boat trip to the island. The water is clear and the service is great. Swimmers and fishermen all around.

We arrived early at The Rick so had the opportunity to enjoy the terrace area before people starting coming in for drinks and lunch. It was fun to watch everyone, as everyone wanted to take pictures and selfies against the backdrop of the sea. The sea was an amazing green color and looked very inviting. The seafood platter at the... More

A must. Nice picturesque restaurant in the middle of the see. Have to go by boat to reach it. Food good but not extraordinaire. The views are superb. Have to book it online. Super easy. Don't forget to mention that you want an outside table.
