Visited on Saturday for big family meal with 13 of us. We enjoyed a room of our own with a big table great as we had young children. The food was great!! Service very good and a lovely place. Look foward to visiting again soon.

Last night I celebrated my 40th birthday at this hidden gem. We have been a few times in the past but not been recently. We were in the private dining room which was brilliant as we had 3 under 6's. all of our meals were truely delicious with not one complaint. The staff were very attentive and made sure we... More

We have not been here for a long time, but had lunch. The food was excellent, freshly cooked and superb and this is difficult for us, wife gluten free, granddaughter vegetarian. The service was very good if a little quirky and the price (set price for lunch) extremely reasonable. Overall a great place for lunch.

Travelled from Nottingham and it was well worth it. Beautiful village location. Had a Sunday lunch and it was excellent. Beef that melted in your mouth, fresh veg and all the trimmings. Homemade soup to start was very tasty and the desert was divine. The staff and service was excellent as well. Cannot believe what you get for you money... More

Soon as you walk in it's a warm welcome with a roaring fire and friendly smile. Lots of choice on the menu all 4 of us had different starters and mains. I had Camembert with salad then chicken chasseur which were both beautiful and well presented. Then for puds it was brûlée. The selection of food covers all tastes and... More

I organised a post Christmas lunch for a group of 12 people. Some members of the party had been there before and had recommended it warmly. They were not mistaken! All 12 of us enjoyed an excellent meal choosing from either the regular lunch menu or the post Christmas lunch for less menu. The staff were courteous and attentive, neither... More
