Three seniors visiting Brionne came upon this delightful Auberge, and just stopping initially for a coffee and calvados, decided to book for lunch the next day. Little English is spoken, but why should it be ? The three course formula menu gave lots of choices in each section, and every dish was imaginatively plated and a delight to eat. Wines... More

You never quite know what to expect on a first visit, particularly for a special occasion. L' Auberge de la Vallée was a triumph! Choice of two menus, 15.80EUR or 26EUR, with four or five choices for each course on both. We splashed out on the more expensive one, had beef cheeks with foie gras to start then a very... More

I think a restaurant demonstrates its commitment to excellence of when it is open to feedback and then rises to the occasion to meet their clients needs in fresh ways. I have to say that the change here is a delight! Warmth, welcome and a real desire to give the client a service that matches a 10/10 meal. Still no... More

The Restaurant is run by a couple, He Cooks, she serves front of house and the service is excellent. The food is all cooked to order so there can be a wait between courses... More

Undoubtedly a cut above anything within miles- maybe Rouen or one of the Michelin restos in Upper Normandy. We have been going a few times a year for the 8 years. The chef in creative and combines fine ingredients in novel ways: a crumble toping on a crème de foie gras, bananas in spring roll style pancakes (nem). Presentation is... More

We had another excellent lunch here at the end of June. A small range of different dishes all extremely well cooked and presented. Deep flavours - a beautiful pork cassolet - and some quirky bits too - endive ice cream?. Phone and book though as their opening times can be a bit quirky. We will certainly go back.....often

We have eaten here frequently over the past few years and this restaurant is now the benchmark by which we judge all others. For the prices charged, it's unbeatable.
