Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We went there right before opening time at 19.00 as we were unsuccessful the previous evening and saw the long line waiting for a space. We managed to get a table but had to wait for 75 minutes for the food to arrive. The food...is ok but does not justify the hype on tripadvisor. The family arriving right after us at 19.05 had to wait for 90 minutes to get a table. I would have been really disappointed if we had to wait that long as the pita and daily menu are decent but nothing special to justify the high rating of this restaurant.More

We visited here after a long day hiking around the Cocora valley and it was just what we needed! A really small authentic restaurant where you can see the chefs cooking in front of you! Located just off the main square and very affordable for...such a good location! Beware though they only take cash!More

Great local restaurant for traditional Colombian food. Loved the cream soup. It's a small restaurant so definitely get there early if you want a seat.

We had the set menu, it comes with a lovely cream soup, a main which you can either have chicken, beef or fish (trout), dessert and a juice. It was very tasty!

This restaurant exceeds expectations in many ways. It offers a quaint environment, the prices are very reasonable, the food is delicious, and the staff was friendly and attentive. My wife and I had the Menu del Dia, which was trout, and a bottle of wine....Home run. The trout was excellent and the quantity was ample. Dinner for 2 was about COP 80,000 - very reasonable. A great choice for local food.More

The best restaurant in Salento ! Before the food, Alejandra is super friendly and an amazing chef ! Typical food, the ajiaco y la trucha were amazing. Overall a menu with a soup and main dish will cost you only 25 000 pesos. Thanks a...lot for this amazing time !!!! Love from France Guillermo y ValentinaMore

Very friendly service in english and spanish. Typical Columbian food -> 10/10 Very fast service and the best is the location. In Bavaria we call this type of location: griabig.

This is a very small restaurant, so get there when they open! The night we went it was a fixed menu of two choices. While it was initially a bummer that we couldn’t really order what we wanted, I’m so glad it worked out that...way! We got a traditional dinner that was so delicious! The girls there work so hard to cook great food and do a great job. Highly recommend!!More

Quality food for amazing prices. We went twice during our stay having the menu del día each time for 15-18.000 each. The soups as a starter were some of the best we’ve ever had, mains were nice and filling, our favourite was the chicken. Complete...with a biscuit and juice. Thw restaurant had such a great atmosphere, despite coming each time at 6pm when it opened and being the only ones to start with. Lovely chilled music, one wall carved in from the rock face, run by mum, daughter and even the grandkids helped by clearing out plates at the end of our food. Highly recommend, only 4 tables hence why we arrived early both times, but very Central incase it is full, although it’s worth the wait!More

We went to several restaurants during our few days in salento but hands down this was the best one we went to. Very reasonable prices and excellent food. They have a daily set menu (18000cop) and only fresh ingredients are used.

Best food in Salento… some of the best in Colombia. We ate here 3 days in a row. After 3 weeks in Colombia and having mostly bad food, this place was incredible. You must get the menu of the day. The pumpkin crema is to...die for. I recommend the chicken or trout as the entree. The chef (Alejandra) is an absolute star, she cooks everything, runs the restaurant, talks to customers, etc. and does it all perfectly and is super friendly. It has been a long time since I enjoyed a dining experience this much, and just last week we ate at Carmen in Medellin. Of course that was fancier, but this was more memorable and personal. Oh, also be careful of the hot sauce. It is Carolina Reaper.More
