A German couple in our B & B told us about the "fish soup" in Cadgwith so we dropped by one lunchtime and concluded this was the place they were talking about. As we only wanted a snack my wife had the seafood chowder and I had crab sandwiches and a couple of glasses of wine.We sat in the courtyard... More

Nice little place for refreshment on a days walk on the costal path. There are indoor facilities but the old cobbled courtyard is lively to sit in as it's protected from the wind and I'd atmospheric - looks like an old working courtyard which has been spruced up a bit for a lovely and wrk kind break! No views of... More

Historic building with a barn that you can eat in. Really lovely cream tea served by very nice & polite staff who went out their way for customers. Our request for cream tea at 7pm was unusual for the hour but they very kindly obliged us with a high quality tea- the scones were a nice buttery bake, the cream... More

Having walked from Lizard needed a morning break. Quite content to wait around in the harbour, in the sunshine, enjoying the view whilst waiting for Old Cellars to open at 10.20 am although sign said 10.00 am. Waiter very pleasant and order taken promptly. Coffee fine. Tea cakes took took a long time to arrive and were pale. Not toasted... More

We decided to go to Cadgwith as a family member recommended it for the history fishing village and thatched roofs. We weren't disappointed. Whilst staying in The Lizard , we travelled over for dinner on a Wednesday and found the gate locked. A local said the restaurant has stopped opening as a restaurant in the evening. Curious as no mention on their web site although this is has not been updated for a while.
