I have eaten here before but it is always a pleasant surprise to find still as good as ever. It is rare to find such excellent home cooked food for such terrific value. The desserts continue to tempt and delight on top of lovely main courses. The welcome is always cheery and helpful.

We visited for my son's first birthday - just some food with family. We've been many times before, but this time was disappointing. It says it's dog friendly but we were berated for having a puppy there - despite other dogs being present. This meant the dog had to sit on my lap all night, which is difficult with a... More

Had a short break in Dorset and chanced upon this pub in the delightful village of Cerne Abbas. First class food, friendly and efficient service and reasonably priced. Highly recommended.

Was in town off season for work, great quite little pub with traditional British ales. Not far from the local Cerne Abbas "Giant". Only had beer, as chef was off the 2 nights I was there, but heard food is good. The do have an inside Skittles court.

What a refreshing change to visit a very pretty corner of Dorset and to find a friendly run Pub with great food and a great feel and a lovely quiet rear garden with a skittle alley. I would highly recommend this pub and Cerne Abbas .

We had a super quiet Sunday Lunch (the pub had been cut off due to the Weymouth triathlon, though we just said we were going to Cerne Abbas and got through ok?!). Beautiful roast beef, slightly pink and great sauce (sacrilege to call it gravy), crispy Yorkshire pudding, al dente vegetables. If only this place was closer, I want to... More

My wife & I stopped in initially for a quick cappuccino. It was so good, after we had burnt a few kilojoules hiking up to the top of the "Giants Hill" we came straight back for lunch. Such friendly service, great menu, & perfect music! If we lived in Cerne Abbas this pub would quickly become our second home!

Very nice, friendly pub where I had the best crab sandwiches on lovely wholemeal bread that wasn't doorsteps.

Excellent service and very friendly and the sirloin steak was unbelievable, probably the best I've ever eaten. Will certainly be eating there whenever I'm in the area.

French night at the giant inn last night, the atmosphere was like a bistro, the food was exceptionally magnificent, all home cooked to a very high standard. Thank you to Sheila and Mark, the wonderful landlords.
