The food here is lovely. Unusual flavour combinations & cooked well, but quite a busy night & the low ceilings make it very noisy.

Nothing more to say. I try to eat here once a year when on holiday, and I'm never let down. Super food, good beer and wine list and excellent service from knowledgable staff. Well recommended

Had lunch here today for the first time, beer battered Ling and chips, very nice although at the price the fish could be a bit bigger. The staff were very welcoming offering pleasant service.

Superb seafood restaurant on the edge of Newlyn. Menue changes with whatever is landed in Newlyn. Recommend that you book! It is very popular

Came here based on review by Nathan Outlaw and delighted to experience amazing seafood expertly cooked. We had lunch and dinner in this modest Inn and would highly recommend it despite front of house which was terrible on both occasions.

Had a spectacular Sunday lunch. Fish soup was wonderously light and velvety, gurnard main with crab and potato salad a delight. Excellent friendly service and good wine list, only one blip: despite a specific request chef refused to give our daughters a whole Yorkshire pudding...More

The food was absolutely fine - no complaints - but nothing more than I would expect from any gastropub. Lots of people had raved about seafood but there was none to be seen - which was very disappointing. All fish dishes. The fish and chips...More

What a find! We stumbled across the Tolcarne Inn whilst staying nearby. The food was exceptional a bit more chefy than we were expecting from the look of the pub outside but well worth the cost. The menu is quite small and mainly fish but...More

Excellent seafood pub with daily changing menu, taking whatever is landed at the adjacent Newlyn fish market. Not for those who don't do seafood! Came here for lunch with the family on a rainy Thursday in July. Busy but didn't need to book though it's...More

Yes. We visited in February for lunch. It's quite a traditional unpretentious pub and as good for a pint as a meal. Imagine it's much busier this time of year but our dog was very welcome anywhere in the bar area.
