We had 2 fish (cod) and chips (6.50$ each): chips were really good, fish pieces were huge, one very good but one too greasy.

My boyfriend and I came in just before they were about to close. The staff looked like they wanted to get out of there, and so we ordered quickly, and the food came really promptly too. I can only assume the chips had been sitting for a while because they were very disappointing, we barely touched them. My battered Cod... More

Really fancied a bag of chips but wish I hadn't bothered. Chips were soggy and brown with lots of small ones. The polystyrene tray they had been served in was very greasy and brown. Disappointed.

My elderly father and I travel some distance to visit this fish and chip shop. The fish is always fresh- especially recommend the Monkfish Tails and Hake when catch of the day.

We visited here twice. Good portions and freshly cooked fish. No complaints at all from anyone . We were staying nearby in mousehole where we had heard the chip shop there had closed down.

After enjoying a lovely winters day walk along the beach, 10 of us piled in to devour fish and chips. Mine was perfectly cooked and the best piece of fish I have eaten for years. My cousin was disappointed in her sausage in batter, but I have no idea why you'd order sausage, in a fish shop, whilst in Newlyn!... More

Enjoy freshly cooked fish & chips so be prepared for short wait. Lovely cod plus catch of the day choice. Chips not greasy good value for money.

used to be regular customers, will not be coming back after last few visits, hard, greasy chips, brown lettuce and some sort of greasy sticky slime on the paper the food was wrapped in, paid a lot of money and got a small handful of chips, always been good in the summer months, but don't feel they carry the standards... We re very sorry you had such a bad experience with us ......I can assure you standards are maintained throughout the year as we have a strong local winter trade. You really should have returned or called us seeing as you live so close , we would have had no hesitation correcting your issues, had we been at fault. More

We have been coming to Lewis' for a number of years. It is our regular take-out fish & chip shop and offers a wide variety of fresh fish. We always opt for the cod and large fries. Yummy!

We used to come here as kids when it was Jewells and 30 years later, it still gets talked about in our family. I think my childhood memories have been ruined now as the fish and chips we had during our visit were probably the best ever ! Huge portions, the best batter ever, amazing chips and best of all,...
