Had the Christmas menu. Fantastic food, great setting and brilliant service. Highly recommend and will definitely be going back.
Had the Christmas menu. Fantastic food, great setting and brilliant service. Highly recommend and will definitely be going back.
Lovely setting and huge amount of money spent in restoring and modernising after a fire that gutted the building. Made the most of the setting overlooking the harbour and Mounts Bay. Welcome good, food average and I felt expensive so not sure if locals will...frequent. Helpful regarding allergies.More
We came here for Sunday lunch - nothing other to say except fabulous!! Would definitely recommend and will be coming back.
Great place for a casual dinner. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great food and lots of it! Staff were attentive without overdoing it. The food came quickly and was delicious. We had the Fish Pie, Beef Lasagne and a fantastic steak burger.
Fantastic food Good selection of drinks Brilliant service from all staff Good selection of choice on the menu Highly recommend
This is a great pub, fantastic range of beers and wine and top quality food. Well done to all staff!!
Disappointing overall. It was not value for money despite a lovely location. Food was expensive. In particular we had the hake special - 24 pounds and the serving was very small- see photo. My husband left hungry despite ordering a side of what turned out...to be a very small serving of fries for an additional 5 pounds .More
Good service, nice ambience, lovely location and excellent food. The staff were very obliging and always at hand. We spent 4 hours eating and drinking ending up on the terrace for our desserts and final drinks. The mussels were plentiful, fresh and well sized. Certainly...a dish to repeat in the future. All in all, a great Sunday lunch and worthy of a return visit.More
We came to the Fisherman’s Arms a few times on a recent visit and the ham egg and chips was the biggest hit!! Food amazing, service and atmosphere brilliant Loved it here
Came here for my mums birthday lunch, expecting nice things due to the reputation and the price. My mum and her partner had the lamb leg which was too fatty and the top slice seemed quite dry. My partner had sausage and mash which wasn’t...a generous portion at all as it didn’t fill him up. I wanted to order the lobster sliders however they didn’t have any so I ordered tiger prawns with chorizo and salad as a starter with a side of Parmesan truffle chips to make up a main. The tiger prawns were £9.50 and I had 3 prawns, a few leaves and tiny bits of chorizo the prawns tasted regular nothing special. The chips barley had Parmesan on which I had to ask for more. I would also suggest to put the truffle sauce on the side in a pot which most restaurants do as I could barely taste the truffle sauce. It was as if I paid £7 for a bowl of regular chips. For a birthday lunch that me and my partner travelled all the way down from Plymouth just for my mum to be disappointed was such a shame. Nothing worse then having a birthday ruined with an overpriced lunch not worth it. We would’ve have ordered a dessert as we were all still hungry but didn’t want to waste another £40 on further disappointment. I never complain and I hate writing bad reviews. Shame.More
Excellent food really good value and great choice. Have visited 4 times over the week staff lovely and friendly. Great place for visitors out of town.
Lovely meal for 4 while on holiday in the area. All ate off the specials board for starters and main courses. Service was excellent- warm and friendly, efficient but not rushed. Enjoyed a post dinner cocktail on the terrace which was a perfect finish to...the evening. Only slight gripe was with the cheeseboard I ordered - cheese was still chilled so didn't get the full flavour I should've and didn't understand the frozen grapes? Still would definitely recommendMore

We were looking for food having arrived late in Penzance. This is a short drive/15 min walk from the main promenade in Penzance. Immediately above newlyn harbour. Very helpful staff. Excellent food. Reasonable prices. I had starter size portion of moules, my son had ham...egg and chips. Both were simple meals presented and cooked beautifully. Local , massive mussels and nice sliced ham for my son. Definitely recommend.More
Stopped with a party of 10. Mixed adults and children. Great service and really good food, plenty of variety. Everyone was very happy. Great specials. Really enjoyed the sole and would recommend the scallops. If you don’t know the area you might not stop here...but do call in if you are in the area. We parked in Sandy Cove Car park which was really close.More
