A little off the main road, but it felt like where and what the locals were eating. Hope we get to return!

After having a nice tour at the mayan ruin of Xunantunich and making my way up to el castillo structure, which is 130 feet from plaza level opens ones appetite. I order a soursop juice to quench the thirst and did it do its job. I order some salbutes as appetizers for my friends as we had to wait for... More

I love dining at Benny's. They are very reasonably priced and offer a nice selection of appetizers and entrees. They also usually have 1-2 specials that they offer daily. If you go and they have pibil (slow cooked pork) you really should try it. I've never had a bad meal there and frequent guests (especially at lunch) includes a number... More

Good local food, reasonably priced. Went here with our guide after the Xantunich ruins. Didn't get to try the Royal Rat, but did have some good chicken, beans and rice and platanos.

We went here after seeing some Mayan ruins and it was great! The empanadas were fantastic and the papaya milk shake was incredible. All the food was authentic Belize food for a very good price (between $5-10 USD/plate) great atmosphere and perfect for large groups

We spent a couple of hours exploring Xunantunich and then walked the mile back out to the ferry so by the time we got to Benny's we were parched. The restaurant is secluded, covered, airy and cool, just the ticket on a hot afternoon. We had cold drinks and watched as plate after plate of food, the same heaping dish... More

We stopped here for a late lunch after visiting the ruins. This place was great, they have a playscape for the kiddos (hadn't seen that in Belize). It was clean, cute and the food was good. I ordered the chicken nachos which were kinda, sorta, AMAZING! They put this while, creamy sauce on it and the chip still stayed crunchy,... More

Nice Choice while in the Benque area. Very nice people. They allowed us in before time to open on a Sunday morning - because I needed my coffee. Everyone was pleasant, food was very good. Nice atmosphere. Wish we had tried dinner here. Only had time for one breakfast. They do take credit cards.

Nice place to stop for lunch. Food is great as are the drinks - watermelon juice drink. Clean restrooms and small play area for children. A real nice break in the middle of the day.
