Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The coffee, the brownies and the bacon sandwiches keep bringing me back to Sweet Rose. The Cakery has such a lovely and friendly vibe that my daughters want to visit every evening, and we do. The quality of the cakes is unrivalled, the coffee is...the best I’ve had in the UK and the service has always exceeded my expectations. It has become a home from home and I’m supporting a local business run by local people. My belly feels good after each visit so does my mind. Win win. The lemon fairy cakes are to die for. At the end of December I ordered two birthday cakes. Delicious and huge and a great price. It’s where I take my family and meet my friends. It’s just wonderful in every way.More

Lovely cooked breakfast. The Staff were very friendly and accommodating. We all wanted a different version of the cooked breakfast and they were happy to do swaps for us. Very relaxed and pleasant place to meet friends. Plus an unexpected added cupcake as a birthday...treat. We would all go again and take friends along.More

We were a fire crew who attended an incident opposite the shop. We ordered 5 drinks and 5 cakes and the staff looked after us above and beyond! Don't get looked after like this anymore, would happily come back. Coffee and cakes were scrumptious too!

Their chocolate brownies are amazing I get them all the time I didn’t want a traditional cake for my birthday so I asked if they could make a chocolate brownie cake for me and it turned out amazing I had so many people at my...party compliment the brownies and ask where they came from, I also got some sandwich and wrap platters made by them which disappeared very quickly and also got the same compliments and asked where they were from. They do an amazing job.More

Sweet Rose Cakery made an outstanding wedding cake for my husband and I. It was big enough to feed 100 guests at our reception, it looked exactly like the picture I showed them of what I wanted, and it tasted phenomenal! Not only that, they...were a pleasure to deal with, it was about half the price of any other wedding cake baker I got quotes from, and they delivered it fully assembled on the morning of the wedding! Really couldn't have asked for more, all our guests were commenting on what a great cake it was.More

I asked Julie if she could put together a brunch platter for my son’s 21st birthday, I sent her a photo of what we would like. The brunch platter was amazing, Julie had included all of the food we’d asked for, with a few extra...touches thrown in! My son and all the family was over the moon with it. It was really fresh, fed us (and our guests) all day, and we even had a bit for breakfast the next day. Julie put it together without much notice, can’t thank her enough!More

This was my 3rd trip and 1st since finding out my dietary needs, we came for my mums birthday and had afternoon tea. I'm gluten and dairy intolerance but that didn't mean I went without. Julie made me the most delicious fluffy cakes. Serves was...quick and food incredible. If like me you're a difficult eater you can't beat sweet rose for your special occasions or just a quick bite.More

Thank you to Wayne and the team for ensuring my daughters 30th birthday afternoon tea went without a hitch. Great intimate venue and nicely decorated. The sandwiches were plentiful and fresh, the bread lovely and soft and the fillings were tasty, the choices were egg...mayonnaise, cheese and chutney, beef and horseradish and ham and mustard. The scones were warm inside and they were like a meal in itself, large in size. The service was good and nothing was too much trouble as we had a Gluten free and a vegetarian in our party of 16. Would definitely recommend a visit even for a coffe and slice of homemade cake ♥️More
