Lovely quaint pub just down the path from the castle, within strolling distance. Nice atmosphere and nice food.

Fantastic food all week, it’s brilliant that we could walk to the pub and know that the food would be first class. Will definitely be back.

We ate there twice in one weekend. The food was delicious and there was plenty of it. The service wasn't fast but it didn't need to be.

Have just submitted a review for the george as a hotel, I thought it was just a pub. Anyhow the food was very enjoyable and the Wadworth 6x was in good condition. My main course was £11 other meals were a couple of pounds more.

A welcoming and friendly local pub in a picturesque corner of the Forest of Dean. Visit us for hearty dinners, lunches and snacks and an excellent selection of beers, ciders and wines. We are located just off the A46, next to the Castle in St Briavels, a popular spot for walkers, and just off the Offas Dike and Wye Valley trails. A beautiful refuge for locals and tourists alike, and all visitors are made welcome by the friendly staff and cosy atmosphere. We look forward to seeing you soon!
