Absolutely amazing food and cocktails. Food comes out sporadically when cooked which makes it an easy going, social experience.
Our time was made so much better by our waitress Donna who came to sit with us, was very funny and would crack jokes whenever she walked past.
Highly recommended.

Good service, a wide variety of cocktails that are well priced though the food is slightly different.
I had the glazed honey garlic steak bites (do not get this dish) over cooked steak with no honey or garlic just covered in sesame seeds to hide the grey steak that costs £9. I would have sent it back had my girlfriend not stopped me as she is too polite.
The BBQ tacos weren't half bad.
My girlfriend had some fried prawn wontons that weren't bad either but on the hole I think the chef is allergic to seasoning as nothing had been properly seasoned.
But again a nice place for a cocktail and the service was lovely.

Came for a family meal on a Friday (its essential to book on the website). The bar area was busy, and there was a great atmosphere throughout. We were seated immediately, and our fantastic server Donna took such great care of us, making our evening more special. The food was amazing - we had tapas, and the wine was good too! We had happened to mention that it was a family members birthday, and Donna brought dessert with a candle, and sung happy birthday!
A great evening, with great food and wine enhanced by fantastic service. Highly recommended!

Average food served lukewarm and just to top it off the wrong food that we ordered.
Came here with my partner which is an occasional treat for us to go out together. Thought we’d try here recommended by a friend but wish we never bothered.
Waitress got our order wrong so we got chicken tenders which we sent back instead of sliders which my partner ordered. Then instead of holding my food back they gave me my pizza lukewarm and my poor partner had to wait 15 minutes for his food to come out. We didn’t even get to eat together as my food was going cold at a rapid rate and none of the wait staff informed us of what was going on or even apologise for what had happened.
Then to add an extra inconvenience they tried to charge us for the food we didn’t order and had to get the bill corrected. Didn’t even make an effort to even offer a complimentary drink or something to eat while he waited for his food.
Overall this was a poor experience and we will not be returning. Working in hospitality management myself this would not have happened in my restaurant so I’m annoyed.

Visited today at lunch with a friend after hearing great reviews, was disappointed to find that all of the food was incredibly salty and not edible. Was refunded on the seabass. Waitresses were very nice and helpful so did not want to complain more as they did a good job.

We have eaten in the restaurant before and had an excellent meal but the takeaway food was very disappointing. While some of the food ordered was excellent several dishes were undercooked, the batter on blooming onion was raw and I had to try and cook it at home to make it edible and the pizza base was undercooked and the pulled pork was a bit watery. Considering it cost over £60 for 3 people I personally expect more. I’ll wait till it opens as a restaurant before visiting again

I haven’t been to 4 London rd since 2019 due to COVID so I was really excited to go back, my memory of the place was good. However, went yesterday and how different. We had a couple of small plates and a Pizza, the price has gone up by 20% but in my view the quality and choice had dropped the menu was confused and really limited not a patch on the old menu. we had the chicken strips witch had been fried from frozen, dry and tasteless, and the chicken pizza was 90% greens and 10% chicken really disappointed. The service was also not to a standard of a restaurant charging London prices, asked for a draft beer got a bottle which took 10 minutes, my daughter asked for a posh coffee which came after I had finished my drink. Lots of staff chatting at the bar but not a lot of attention on the customers. Got the bill and nobody came back with the card machine, I ended up going to the bar and paying. Sorry, but you have lost your way, really expensive for the quality of service and food. Please rethink your business strategy as I have had some great times at 4 London rd

Stopped in Horndean to visit a terminal ill relative.
Went out for meal and a few drinks to brighten our visit, this place is lovely. Staff well trained on food and drink, setting and feel is warm and trendy, food is spot on , ordered 5 small dishes and all were superb, tasty and well presented.
Value for money 5 Star , top end at value for money.
Would I recommend? Most defiantly.

After this restaurant coming highly recommended by locals, I expected Good food, but was left disappointed and out of pocket.
Food was not fresh at all, drinks took ages and they also tried to stuff me with the previous tables bill on top of my own.
I suggest if you want tapas go and find a proper Spanish restaurant.

I have visited four london road over the years and have always had a lovely experience. I decided to have my partners 30th birthday meal and take his family as i rated it so highly. I was so wrong! I cannot believe the experience we had last night. After finally making our way through the thick crowd of people we finally get to our table. It then took over half an hour to get our drinks order taken.. which led to a further half an hour to even get them. We then had to try flag down a waitress to get our food order taken which took some time. Im not sure how the food has gone so downhill. Patatas bravas arrived and it was large roast potatos to which our table of six got one each. This were always a favourite of mine and i was so shocked at what got put infront of us. The waiter then shoves the next dish on the table to which the cheese balls went flying(which we never ordered) and he picked them up with his bare hands, puts them back on the plate and walks away. As the dishes were slowly arriving i was getting more and more frustrated as the food was not what i experienced before. The quality of food was so poor. It was getting dumped on our tables by the waitresses without being told what they were. We had a mix of veggi and meat and didnt want to get mixed up! Trying to order another round of drinks was near enough impossible. Took another hour to get them!
We were still starving so ordered some pizzas which i can only describe as what you would get at a kids party. So undercooked and bland. They were not stone baked sour dough pizzas. They looked like they were on the pitta bread that we got with the hummus! All round terrible experience and in complete shock how we were treated. The management here needs some serious evaluating. Will not be returning!!!

I have been an avid supporter of this restaurant and visit the restaurant at least once a month. However sadly over the past few visits the quality of the food has taken a serious nose dive. There is also a complete lack of consistency when serving the various dishes. Last night (28/10/21) the aubergine dip was tasteless (lack of seasoning) and the portion was far too small. The bread was also dry and presented poorly. The sea bass was beyond words. The fillet was no where near a whole fillet, it looked like scraps. The bed of potatoes, olives, spinach was sparse and dry. Was no where near the dish I have eaten many times.
On the previous visit to last night we ordered 3 of the same dish and each one was totally different from the size of the dish used, the size of the fish and the quality of the cooking.
Basically it is a lottery as to the consistency of the dish and the quality of the cooking.
Greater over site is required to ensure that the standards of the dish remain consistent. Especially when taking on new chefs.
Hopefully this review will help get things back to the standards we enjoyed over the past few years.

We visited Four London Road for my sons 21st birthday on the evening of Tuesday 10th March 2020. I had been to 4LR a few times before, but the rest of the family had never visited.
4LR lived up to my expectations with excellant service and great food, all of the staff were very attentive (in particular Amena - hope I have spelt your name correctly).
There were five of us in the party, and selected a range of dishes (about 14) all of which were well presented and very tasty.
Look forward to the next visit, and in particular the new menu due in April.

This restaurant is really over-booking! We were here this evening with you two children. They allow you 1.5 hours for your meal and rush you for the last 20 mins. It’s only really long enough for one round of ordering so if you’re thinking of ordering casual tapas as and when, forget it. Order everything you want in one go then get in down as fast as you can. We asked for iced drinks/coffees x 4 and paid the bill while we were waiting. The waitress then told us we couldn’t stay at the table and wait for our coffees. When we asked what we’re meant to do, we were told to have them outside, in the rain (with our two kids). We declined this ‘kind’ offer and took a refund for the drinks instead. Such a shame as we’ve enjoyed the last couple of times we’ve been but we won’t be heading back. We’re not that local and we’re certainly not making a special trip to be treated like this, especially after paying £140 ish for the pleasure.

This place does the best food we have had in a long time. Servers very helpful in what to choose as we were not sure. My wife requires gluten free and they have a whole menu for gluten free we had 5 shareing dishes and it was really nice not have to worry about contaminating her food. Could here the kitchen talk about the gluten free dishes we oredered which gave us confidence in there knowledge in dealing with our food. Chili crispy beef was fantastic. Kids had pizza and they looked amazing. Staff all really friendly and very helpful

Love this place and the food especially! I asked for my favourite chilli 🌶 chicken which was a Christmas Special so therefore not now on the menu and it is no bother for Jo Jo the chef to make it. Lovely owner and staff. Thoroughly recommend:-)
