I travelled to the Castle Inn at Wigmore, for a leisure break with my wife. On arrival we were warmly greeted and throughout our two day stay we were made to feel very welcome. The inn itself is tucked down a side street away from the main road, therefore road noise was not an issue. The room was of a... More

Our 2 course meal on the first night in the restaurant was part of our weekend deal and then we had a meal in the bar area on the second night and on both occasions we had good quality food and plenty of it.

Wanted to stay outside of Ludlow rather than the hub of Town and what a gem. Really helpful easy check fully functional room with everything you need. Down a side road so no real traffic noise plenty of car park spaces. We ate in the restaurant and everything was really really good staff so helpful nothing was to much trouble.... More

Spent 2 nights here visiting family in the area . Check-in was painless and Jane most helpful showing us to the room etc. Went for a drink in the bar, which is well stocked with wine, beers, lagers and fine real ales, the later is well looked after and crystal clear. On entering the bar, what I thought was a... More

We were passing lunch time and decided we would stop for a light lunch. We chose the soup and sandwich which was a special price, a side of delicious homemade chips. I must say it was excellent value. We have eaten there before and we will certainly eat there again.

We stayed for two nights. We were welcomed very warmly and then shown our room. It was incredibly small. In fact, the smallest I ever stayed in ever! There was no room for even a small chair. I had to stand to do make up and hair! The shower room was modern and well equipped but so tiny! Difficult to... More

Needed to find reasonably priced accommodation in the Ludlow area, as a business trip, trading at the Ludlow Medieval Fayre. Not easily done as a generally expensive area to stay! However this hotel was very reasonable. That did not mean a compromise in quality, very nice double room, modern and comfortable, with the bonus of a bath. Staff very helpful... More

The Inn has a contemporary look with a homely feel. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our double room was comforting, clean and modern, with a large bath to relax in after a long countryside walk. We ordered food from the restaurant which was superbly cooked, well presented and very satisfying to eat. We throughly enjoyed our stay.

Many thanks for your feedback Sandra, We fully take on board your comments regarding the hanging baskets, The recent cold snap has had a rather adverse effect on their normally verdant appearance. The Beer garden is in the process of refurbishment and we apologise if it's current appearance marred your stay. We apologise if you feel that the service of... More

We travelled as a couple with a Travelzoo offer. From the moment we arrived till we checked out we had a lovely stay. Karl who checked us in was was most helpful and pleasant.
