Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What a little gem of place! This is a proper traditional pub, great beer, great food and so friendly and welcoming! We stayed two nights on a fishing trip. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The Land lady even got up early on Sunday morning...and made us a full English breakfast! Can’t fault it! EXCELLENT! Thank you so much Steph.More

We specifically stayed here for a weekend recently and was bowled over by dinner. With particularly fussy children they were perfectly catered for. It was fantastic that we had such nice food where we stayed. Will look forward to a Sunday lunch in the not...too distant future!More

Rooms, building in general not good, outside areas very scruffy, menu very limited, staff unkempt, kitchen open when the boss feels like it, generally, why are they even open to visitors, rural community only, ive no issues with that , dont try and be something...else, we were staying there , got back about 6.40pm, few drinks , asked to order food , 8.03pm, no, kitchen is closed , hopeless, retire, let a young couple have a goMore

We came for a drink and decided to stay for food. Nick who was the very talented chef at the New harp is now working at the plough which is amazing!!! I had the fish and chips which was fab, My husband and daughter had...a lamb burger and a beef burger which looked incredible and they ate the lot! if you want food cooked by someone who loves what they do and takes care and pride in his food this is a great pub. we have decided to try and make it a weekly Monday outing as they open on a Monday when most placed in Hereford are closed which is a bonus. Steph was amazing as usual, the loveliest landlady in Hereford and vey welcoming.More

Well I stayed here a fortnight ago and I am back for a second visit already. If you, like me, like to stay in places with genuine charm and character, then The Plough Inn is well worth a visit. The great rural location, with stunning...views perfectly compliment the warmest of welcomes, tasty menu and range of ales & ciders. Rooms range from the cavernous to cosy. So, something for everyone's requirements and budget. There is even an adjoining field suitable for camping and Lived in Vehicles too. Well worth a visit 👏More

The Plough was a very welcome stop after trying to follow a Times recommended walk which took us from nearby Hoarwithy around the Athelston's Wood - a very pleasant 7 miles with the Plough as the start of the home run downhill to the car....Welcoming and friendly staff served well-kept beer and snacks - and tried to help with the rather confusing Times map and directions. The pub is a small local wth some parking - we didn't try the pool table but heard it in action..a pleasant pause on our way.More

We had a lovely stay at The Plough Inn. We booked quite last minute, but fortunately we were able to get a double ensuite room which also fitted our travel cot. The room was newly renovated and had everything we needed including a lovely shower....The welcome when we arrived was nice to find. Food available in the pub and a lovely English breakfast was available for extra cost. It was huge! We enjoyed some local ales and ciders from the bar. A great stay.More

We were touring on motorcycles and just needed a bed for the night so I booked in here, What a gem! The staff and the locals were mega friendly. The room was small but comfortable and quiet and the steak we had for dinner was...fantastic. They have their own hens too so the breakfast eggs were really fresh.More

Stayed here for 2 nights for a wedding down the road at the woodland campsite. We arrived the night before, and spent a night in the pub. The owner on arrival gave us a warm welcome and showed us all to our rooms, ours had...an amazing view over the fields. Even with a member of staff down due to sickness, they managed to squeeze in a bit of time to make us some food, which went down well on a night in the pub the night before the wedding. There was a great selection of drinks on offer for a good price! Dog, cat and chicken lovers rejoice, as this place has all of them, (although the dogs keep the chickens out of the pub!) Breakfast was very nice, a full English, and good value. Just remember to order it the night before.More

We went for a wedding in the nearby woodlands and stayed two nights here. We had a nice size room with ensuite. The bed was very comfortable and the bedding smelt lovely. Would have preferred a small wardrobe rather than armchair as only had a...few hooks on bathroom door. The evening meals and breakfasts were very well cooked and plenty of it. We were stuffed after. The owners were very helpful and friendly.More
