We had a family celebration here for my husband’s 70th birthday yesterday. Ginger and Spices did us proud. There were 30 of us and the food was all ordered and freshly cooked and all served at the same time. The food was outstanding and all served piping hot. Our guests loved the food. The cocktails and wines were very good too. Thank you Krishna to you and your team for your wonderful hospitality and for making his birthday so special. You truly are the best.

As Tina Turner would say “Simply The Best”. The food is always so fresh and they use the highest quality ingredients. . My wife said the garlic chillie prawns were gorgeous as was her chicken Chatinad. My lamb tikka starter was so tender as was my “spiced up” chicken masala. The Cobra beers were icy cold too and they certainly make a lovely margarita cocktail. We are always given such a warm friendly welcome from the staff. We love Ginger and Spices.

Visited this restaurant just before and over the Christmas period.
We've been finding it difficult to find a place that serves fresh authentic Indian cuisine since moving to the area eight years ago. We've now found it.
King Prawn Puree starter was fresh, tasty and a generous size.
The bhuna main was made with good quality chicken.
My partner had a paneer dish on both occasions, which she raves about.
Friendly service as well and great value.
Keep it up!

We had such high hopes for our meal at Ginger & Spices. Sadly, it did not live up to expectations. While the food was very good, the service was not.
We arrived at the correct time and were eventually greeted by the waiter. He looked at his list and saw we were assigned to a particular table, which appeared to be next to another couple of tables. Instead, however, he led us to the very back of the restaurant, into an empty, closed off area. He said he would seat us there so that we wouldn’t be “squashed”.
When we asked why he’d decided we should sit away from all the other diners he again said it would be less “crowded and squashed”.
The original table we’d been assigned wasn’t at all crowded, the restaurant is well laid out, so I can only assume that for some reason he didn’t like the look of me, my husband and our teenage daughter and decided we should be hidden away. We were wearing smart clothes, were sober and polite and felt really rather hurt that we were being asked to sit away from all the other diners.
We asked if we could sit in the original table & reluctantly he agreed.
We were seated at 7.45, by 8pm, no one had asked us if we’d like a drink, taken a food order, or even acknowledged we were there. The table we had insisted on being seated at was right next to the bar, so there’s no way we had been forgotten.
Eventually we were able to order poppadoms and drinks, which came reasonably quickly.
The cocktails were very good, the poppadoms were crisp and fresh but came with absolutely tiny accompanying chutneys and onion salad, around a tablespoonful of each. We had to be very sparing and eat most of the poppadoms with no accompaniment.
We had trouble ordering throughout the entire meal, waiting a long time to be able to order food and more drinks, I don’t know why this happened, like I said, we were at a table right next to the bar but felt we were being ignored, I wonder what the service would have been like if we’d have stayed at the table at the back of the restaurant, no one else was seated there or nearby while we were in the restaurant so had we stayed there we’d have been completely isolated throughout the meal. No ambience or atmosphere at all, just the odd person walking past on their way to the toilets.
When the main meal arrived it was very good, although there was not much meat in my Biriyani, the meat it did contain was lovely, very tender.
We finished with liqueur coffees which were well made.
Our bill for 3 people came to just over £150, when we paid the waiter did not thank us, no one asked if we’d enjoyed our meal, for some unknown reason we felt like we’d somehow offended the waiters etc. I don’t know if this is because we weren’t “regulars”, but we did feel slightly upset by how we’d been treated.
We usually go to Shaon in Chislehurst, which, while the decor and surroundings aren’t as exemplary as G&S makes us feel welcome and not like an imposition, we thought we’d maybe try another place because the reviews are so good, but we won’t be going back, which is a shame, because the food is very good, but the service is frankly pretty dreadful.

Honestly the best curry house we have been too, the food is amazing, so hot, fresh and tastes amazing! Highly recommend to anyone looking to eat out in Chislehurst, i will always go back here, the service is great too, cannot fault anything. Can't wait to come back!

I’ve eaten I. Here a few times. The food has always been good and the service has been, well, sporadic. Guess it depends upon who is working…
This time my wife and I got a takeaway. I went in and ordered and asked for the garlic chilli prawns. They’re around £8.95 I think, small portion, but really nice whenever I’ve had them to eat in.
I asked to get them and was told that they didn’t like to do them as a takeaway as it’s a small starter and they didn’t have small takeaway containers, so it would look very small. I explained that I understood that and loved them, so I didn’t mind that they would be in a container that was too big.
I got my food and walked home to find that they hadn’t put the prawns in the bag. They had charged me for them, but didn’t give them to me.
So I called them and they the chap I spoke to apologised and said to ask for them next time and they would be on the house.
I went in a few days later to place my order and explained about my missing prawns and the promise I’d been made. I even took the receipt in from the previous order. They basically told me I could be lying for all they knew, they didn’t remember me ordering and had I ordered them then I would have received them!!! Made to feel a complete liar. Such a shame that this happened as I will definitely not be going back…

Yet again a truly wonderful meal at this lovely restaurant. We come here a lot, this meal was probably the best ever. Totally delicious, authentic, beautifully cooked food that was mouth-wateringly good. It is pure joy to eat wonderful food, but coupled with the lovely staff who cannot do enough for you, that makes it super special. Oh, coupled with a delicious Marguerita cocktail too, our experience will stay with me a long time!

Incredible Indian food have to say the nicest curry’s iv eaten by a long long way fresh flavoursome amazing flavours.
Iv been to them all in chislehurst Bromley Petts wood and surrounding areas and that was the best iv had.
The restaurant had a good ambiance only thing I didn’t like was there was no table cloths but apart from that it was perfect

We placed an order for Delivery last night and are not satisfied with foods Test, flavour and consistency comparatively as usual. Lamb madras was too hot and thick also other curries had a different test and raw onion flavour on it These are happening a few times. Mix grilled was not good enough. We regularly consume your food.

I am writing this about a delivery not eating in. We had been away and decided to have a takeaway as a final treat to my Birthday trip, as the food from Ginger and spices always tastes so fresh.
Although as usual the food was exceptional but sadly the meal was spoilt by the rude delivery man. When my husband opened the door he didn’t speak at all, was very miserable and literally held out the bag and left.
We will be going back to our usual delivery restaurant from now onwards.

I am surprised this place has any “5 star reviews” I trusted these and was greatly disappointed.
The food was average, second only to the very bad customer service.
Provided email feedback on a takeaway order I had placed, which had 1 nice dish, the rest were below par on quality. No response to my email. When I telephoned I was met by a guy who has no customer service skills. He told me he had received my email, followed by saying “what did it say?” And then “what “do you want?”
Seriously disappointed. Something that had some promise, but ended in the complete opposite. Whoever is giving this place 5 stars, seriously need to get out more.

Great team spirit
Great hospitality
Most highly recommended is the food.
Being a business person, I have personally tried and tasted 100’s of restaurant and cuisine. I must totally recommend Ginger and Spices for their authentic cuisine. Food and the team are both exceptional.
Everyone should definitely try their original saviours.

Disappointed
I have been visiting very frequently and love grill food but last few times experience was very bad , food was terrible , dry ,test less each time food are different flavours. It’s make me really unhappy.
They should value consumer money and time .

The food was nice but they will not want you to order a pudding if you’re the last table left before 10pm, the menu wasn’t even offered and they started clearing up around us and opened the front door to let cold air in, we stood our ground and asked for coffees. Very unfriendly staff and they obviously want their diners out as soon as possible so they can close early on a Saturday night. We will not be going again.

First time visit to this Restaurant. Lovely food, beautiful and spotless decor (especially the toilets) and very friendly and efficient staff. Not the cheapest we use, but the quality and quantity of the food justifies it. Definitely be back.
