Maxi's is the easiest landmark to spot once you come into town. They have a soda and a bar on the lower level and a restaurant on the upper level. The soda has good affordable breakfast. The restaurant has pretty good food. Nice view overlooking the beach. Price is a little higher than average. Casado type dishes and the fish... More

Very disappointing lunch, cold and sub-standard food. Along with poor service, the area was dirty and not worth the effort to visit. Was sad to witness the huge amount of plastic pollution.

This place was a great cultural experience. We had Caribbean chicken with beans, rice, pasta ones and smoothies. Absolutely fun and delicious. We highly recommend this place for authentic cuisine and fun atmosphere right on the beach.

I ate a barbecue and a dessert at the Maxim, and I must say the quality is very good, but the price and the service are really bad!

Terrible service; grumpy, unhelpful, slow, resentful serving staff. You are an inconvenience to them. If ever a place was complacent and resting on it's reputation. It must be in the guidebooks because it's the biggest place in town and the writer's didn't walk across the road. Take a chance on one of the other sodas. At least they might give... More

We stayed in Manzanillo for a week and went almost every day to have a beer and an occasional appetizer. Michael & William were super hospitable and friendly.

Great drinks, delicious yuca frita, dessert and service. I ended up going here because my friends wanted to, but i dont like their restaurant in San Jose, same with thia one. But overall the food is not good enough for the price. The patacones were not crispy enough, the ron don (soup) was not tasty enough, they didn't have whole... More

I recommend eating just real Caribbean food like Rice&Beans otherwise it'd not be worth to pay that much money for food. My friend wanted shrimp but they didn't have, which really disappointed us considering it was a seafood restaurant.

Great sea view, nice staff and good food. The prices could be cheaper, but the atmosphere, music, a litle wind blowing, worth it! :)

Fish tasteless, way to small for a big fish(red snapper), as they called it. I shared it with an real cute cat by the way. My friend had rice and chicken witch was ok. Great view and cool music. Our food was fast and the guy who helped us friendly.
