Visited here last Sunday for a roast at about 6pm. The pub itself offers plenty of parking and inside has a lovely fire and great feel. You certainly don't feel like the locals are against you being there! I had a turkey roast at £12 and it was amazing. There was a huge amount of turkey, stuffing, Yorkshire pudding, lots... More

Good food , in a real old fashioned pub ,reasonable prices and great specials! Take a torch if going after dark as the carpark is poorly lit.

Stopped off for lunch as the pub looked nice. The menu seemed decent, usual pub grub. Orders are taken at the bar and this took ages. Only one person serving and she was so slow. The food was disappointing. I had fish and chips. Under cooked batter and under cooked chips and was just unpleasant. My son's pie was okay... More

I can see now why the place was empty, dreadful unfriendly service and the food wasn't much better either, we both went for the hog roast and at £8 each not cheap!! Re heated meat and awful fat too much stuffing and NO GRAVY, Been living in Norfolk for 11 months and that was by far the worse eating out... More

We had dinner here with friends on a Saturday evening. I don't have any complaints but then I don't really have any praise either. The food was brought very quickly so obviously wasn't freshly cooked but it was ok and comparable to food from other pubs in the area. If you're looking for a gastro pub then this won't be... More

My wife and I visited The Village Inn on Saturday 24th September for an evening meal, My wife had crab with paster, there was not much crab, but lots of paster. I ordered the beef rib, I had trouble seperating the FAT from the MEAT, there was some meat but not much, I complained to the waiter about the cost... More

Having read recent reviews I wasn't sure about eating here but limited choice in the village. It maybe the poor reviews were during peak season as though reasonably busy we found the staff to be attentive and quick to serve. We sat in the garden which was clean with no litter nor the sticky tables reported elsewhere. We had two... More

Lovely pub very accommodating had a lovely evening meal and food and service good. Good car park and easy walk from a few caravan sites and costal path. Would recommend.
