The rave reviews received by this place we had high expectations which failed to materialise. Here with my children and the in laws first family holiday 3 years.... to start with the play area is now starting to look a little shabby and at the...end of its life.... the menu on paper looks amazing well presented and good food allergy information but it's very expensive for basic pub grub especially the steak much better pricing and quality elsewhere and everything seems to come with an added green forest of rocket on top. Bit off putting tbh. Server was lovely and polite but barstaff were a little brisk if you asked them a question which was also a bit off putting . Very well organised as it was a busy day.More

Quick impromptu visit for lunch. Choose the steak sandwich for £7.75, had low expectations…it was SO GOOD! I enjoyed it that much that I’m still telling people about it a week later! (And I’ve paid a lot more for a lot less locally). Thank you!

Booked in for the carvery for a family of 4 and a toddler. Glad to have a pick your own carvery but they do provide very small plates! Im mostly meat and potatoes but I struggled to get these on my plate without doing a...balancing act. Im sure that its mostly to stop people overfilling their plates and causing wastage but it feels restrictive. My toddler had some Mac n cheese and we had to ask for extra cutlery as they hadn't put any on the pre-booked table but it wasn't a chore for the staff. They all seemed very happy with their jobs and the food was great!More

Amazing service and food for our large rugby tour group of under 12 boys and parents. Staff were friendly and welcoming, and so patient with organising and delivering our multiple orders. We had a fantastic room to ourselves. Food portions were generous and well presented,...as well as well as tasting delicious.More

Have been here three times while on holiday. Every time has been great. And I wish we had an Anna-Marie back home. Always friendly and smiling when she’s serving

Once again the staff of the Lacon arms excelled themselves in helping me enjoy some great food and also helped me in celebrating my 70th birthday. Thanks to Lorna, Steve (the chef), and Katie for making it so enjoyable

We visited Lacon Arms twice while staying in Hemsby for a week. The food and service on both occasions was excellent! I think people can be put off by food served in busy seaside areas as it tends to comprise of low quality fast food...but this place is an exception!More

We ate here last night as staying in a chalet nearby. A friendly welcome and feel from all staff, from when we walked through the doors to when we left. Food was delicious with plenty of choice, a very versatile menu with something for everyone....Salad bar a nice touch. Food arrived quickly and piping hot. Up to date website and online menu was great when deciding where we were going to eat. Definitely recommend and will return if in Hemsby again.More

Visited the Lacon Arms today....we are local and often visit....had friends over from Northern Ireland for a few days so The Lacons was definitely on the list to visit! We recieved a lovely warm welcome from the staff as always and Lorna always makes the...effort to come over and say "Hi!" Lovely meal as always....so hard to choose from the menu.... spoilt for choice...Lorna also bought over a complimentary platter to our table which was plentiful n piping hot.....too full for pud....much to my friends disappointment....but it's a good reason to go back before friends leave.....More

Been here so many times but this time was only for puddings and drink what a amazing choice with one member of the family not able to eat dairy but can still eat with comfort and confidence in the food. Amazing staff whether start of...the holiday season or half way through all trained to high standards. Will be back in the summer. XxxMore
