Second visit to this quaint country pub. The food cannot be faulted. Our only disappointment was that the Christmas Menu was not available when we understood it should have been. On a positive note certainly worth a visit. Karen

We had very nice meal which was served by friendly and helpful staff. I had the meatloaf which was a special for the day and it was very good. Lovely atmosphere in restaurant.

Amazing tasty traditional food cooked to perfection we had a roast with all the trimm, followed by home made deserts. The place was extremely busy which created a lovely friendly atmosphere. Pleasent and friendly staff and very helpful, nothing was to much trouble.

Beautifully cooked and presented food, four of us, all having different meals. Smiling and unphased staff, both the bar and restaurant were very busy. A perfect evening in a lovely warm and welcoming pub. Would not hesitate to return, and thoroughly recommend it.

An excellent Sunday lunch enjoyed by my family last weekend. Cooking is obviously done by someone who cares and is not the usual bland mass produced Sunday roast experienced in so many pubs. A very warm welcome and attentive service. Generous portions and superb desserts...More

A trad menu, with home cooked food including the usual choices and good veggie and vegan options, but it was a bit solid, lacking in flavour in some dishes (the burger). Pudding was quite good and the kids menu did what it said it would....More

This is the second time we have been here, the last was about three years ago. We were told that the hosts had managed The Jackdaw and this one and were now concentrating on this pub. It showed. The pub had a real buzz to...More
