Fron the outside, Ti chouchou looks like a simple, small town restaurant. But its cuisine is surprisingly good. I visited twice and the experience was equally great. The Rugail Saussisse, a local dish, is prepared to perfection. The chicken vanilla (poulet à la vanille) was...my favorite, full of inspiration and delicious. The fixed price menu includes a fruit punch "exotique". Wow. Try it! Make sure to reserve a table. Other restaurants in Hell-Bourg close for dinner unexpectedly, which may result in a flood of hungry people trying to get a table here.More

We had probably the best dinner of the whole trip. The pork fumé was fantastic, as well as samosa and lentils. The prices are adequate and the service is very good. Definitely a very good option.

Good option in the center of Hell-Bourg. Clean place, fast staff, good and abundant carry, and good price. Recommended

A good place to try some chouchou. The 23 euro menu i can recommand altough it is a bit expensive for what you get.

Nothing spectacular or pretentious, but just solid, copious, tasty and pleasant local cuisine with a nice choice of options at a reasonable price. What else to ask for? No problem, go for it.

Ti'chouchou offers - as one can guess - a lot of dishes with chouchou (a typical vegetable from Cirque de Salazie). I was surprised that they do not have a single vegetarian main dish on their menu, but as often in Réunion, they are open...to change a plate to make it vegetarian. I chose the tasty "assiette chouchou" without the samoussa and the boudin, which made a very good portion for a main dish. My partner chose the 18€-menu with chicken carri - delicious! Worth mentioning is the extraordinary friendly staff at this restaurant. We felt very welcomed as a gay couple. Be sure to book a table ahead as the restaurant was full on a regular evening and some guests without a reservation only got a table on the terrace (on a cold evening).More

Nice, very simple but testy meal. Large portions. They serve separately rice and lentils, so if you want to share meals it's easy. Banana flame for decert is excellent! Be ready with language barrier if you don't speak a bit of French, as everywhere in...Reunion.More

We were recommended to this restaurant and so glad. The food was great, the setting very sweet and the staff could assist us with our lack of French. Had the signature Chou Chou and it was delightful. Ordered fish which was quite nice.
