We arrived for our pre-booked visit and were shown to a greasy table in the cramped upstairs area. There appeared to be only one waitress on duty, so she was aware we were there. She ignored us for twenty minutes and then came upstairs to...take an order from two people who had arrived fifteen minutes after us! We called it quits at this point and left. If you want something to eat in Olney I would advise going to a real restaurant like the Cherry Tree.More

We were in Olney and needed somewhere for a quick snack and came across this lovely tea room. The staff were friendly, very covid secure and they fitted all 6 of us in without a problem. Lots of reserved tables which is a good sign....Coffee, tea and cakes were delicious. All homemade. I wished I lived nearer as this is the sort of place I would be happy to come to by myself.More

This is a delightful olde worlde gem of a teashop in the historic market town of Olney, famed for its annual Pancake Race. The teashop is located in an ancient building on the main through road and is our regular retreat for coffee lunch or...tea. The staff personnel are friendly and professional and the menu is traditional, reliably good snd value for money. Toasted teacakes are superb. The only reason I cannot give 5 stars is that the lavatory is up two steep flights of stairs, so inaccessible for people who can't manage stairs. This is not the fault of the owners as I imagine there are severe restrictions on what can be done with the building. Luckily Olney still has free, accessible public lavatories on the square a short distance from Teapots, which is something to bear in mind if stairs are an issue for you.More

Lovely afternoon tea with friends for belated birthday celebrations. They provided one friend with a gluten free/vegan afternoon tea. Good value for afternoon tea, lovely sandwiches, cakes and warm scones to die for. A cute little tea rooms situated in a lovely Market town, just...a shame we had to walk in the rain. Lovely afternoon spent with friends. Will return again.More

A great tea room offering a friendly welcome. The afternoon tea - sandwich, scone with jam and cream plus a hot drink for £8 - was perfect! Hard to beat.

As we emerge from Covid, we dropped into Teapots for breakfast. Although most of the restrictions had lifted, it was comforting to see masks were still the order of the day and sanitising tables etc between visitors was still going on. I had Scrambled Egg...on toast, topped with salmon which was delicious. Service with a smile and chat is the norm here and it epitomises a true country tearoom in every way.More

Teapots is a lovely, pretty tea room. We had a table by a fireplace which was close to the cake cabinet so could see all the yummy options. There were traditional options like coffee and walnut cake and chocolate fudge cupcakes, but also exciting cakes...like gingerbread cake and summer fruit sponge. I was very impressed with the gingerbread cake which was warmed up and served with vanilla ice cream. The service was excellent and the staff were very polite. The toilet was also clean and tidy. I would definitely return to try the rest of the menu or the special afternoon tea.More

Such a wide and enticing selection of homemade goodies in a sweet and very clean tea shop. The owners were amazingly attentive and welcoming. We had difficulty choosing what to have but both our lunches were delicious, and the coconut cake and scone and jam...were yummy. Will definitely be going back.More
