We visit The Boat regularly. We prefer the old bar on the canal side, staff are very friendly, very often lots of dogs in there and we take ours in. During the winter its very cosy with real fires. Food is good too.

Just been down to the Boat inn and it was lovely to see the best hostess has returned. Tamsin has returned to further enhance the Inn. A brilliant place just got better. 😃

We sat outside on a lovely Saturday night for a meal looking across the canal to the buildings opposite. The food was very good and served by pleasant staff.

Saw this pub whilst on holiday canal boating 4 weeks ago but made the mistake of using the other local hostelry - The Navigation Inn. We therefore promised ourselves a return visit to the picturesque village and sample the delights of the Boat Inn, we...More

Absolutely amazing setting and definitely well worth a visit providing you accept that it's pub grub at best. To be fair it is a pub after all however could be so much more, will definitely return but next time just a snack rather than full...More
