Stopped off here on way back to Alnwick. This is a quaint little coaching inn and we both found our meal very good. My steak was good and the other half enjoyed his scampi. It is old fashioned but the loos need an upgrade.

We regularly dine at The Granby, being attracted back by its traditional presentation, good food and nice service. Sunday lunch and puddings were excellent. A good range of drinks and overall a lovely experience. Very good and we will return soon.

Very friendly pub and lovely rooms. Stayed for a night for a friends wedding and they even offered us a lift to the venue.

Thank you for your review, sorry to hear we did not match your requirements, the decor is old fashioned but we are a 250 year old coaching inn so we like to keep it traditional and not go modern. I am very surprised by your...More
