Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Sunday Morning,
Eggs Benedict is notoriously difficult to get perfect. Either the eggs are hard, or the whole dish is cold, or, or, or. So many things to go wrong. However, the one you served me this morning was fantastic.
Portion size, as always at Kingsley was huge, but I understand you are looking to portray value for money.
Great Eggs Benedict , runny poached eggs, crispy bacon, and the amount of accidity was perfect. Well done.

Had a stopover for snacks and drinks travelling back from Woolacombe what a fantastic venue with great choice of food and drinks all were delicious and such good value. Staff were so friendly and helpful and the most amazing thing is that my wife Lynda left her purse there and they found it and sent it back to our address. It had all her cards, cash and many other personal items rarely do you come across such honesty this was an amazing and honest thing to do and we are extremely grateful. So not only is this a fantastic place to stop and enjoy the amazing food you are assured of dealing with such honest and genuine people.
Thank you all so much

First time visit with the family for lunch and it was delicious! Venue is a lovely mix of indoor and outdoor space. Food was great and the portions were ample.
I ordered a buffalo chicken burger, best chicken burger I’ve had in a long, long time. Wife had the Korean chicken burger and loved it. My 7 year old son had a bacon bap - and it was fully loaded proper thick cut farm shop stuff - yum. My daughter is 3 years, and although they didn’t have a specific kids menu the chef made up a special plate for her and brought it out to the table personally to check it was ok (thank you!).
I also got a side of hash browns to share, which was somewhat unnecessary as the dishes were more than enough but nevertheless they all got eaten - we all left very happy and now I can’t wait to come back and try something else - the full English breakfasts I saw come out of the kitchen looked banging.

Late lunch , early dinner. Stopped by about 4, told food wouldn't be served till 5 as it was bike night. Had a drink, looked at goods for sale (last time there spent nearly £200!) guy came in wearing an apron, asked if he was the chef, he was, said no problem about cooking dinner for us early, really nice guy. Stopped and chatted then did our food. Simple no frills menu, food cooked well, friendly staff. Recommended to a few of our friends, definitely keep going back. Thanks guys, see you again soon

Great find on trip advisor, lovely friendly staff, nothing too much trouble. Best flat white since Australia. Tasty , well presented English breakfast, great ambience and surroundings, will make a point of visiting again when passing through.

I already established that this place is great for breakfast, but I visited for lunch today and wasn’t disappointed. Set in a man-cave of things you didn’t even know you wanted (think car-related shizzle and stuff for the bloke in your life), it’s a repurposed car dealers with a massive canvas awning over a performance space and bar at the rear. A board advertises events: bottomless brunch on Sunday, bikers day, comedy night and diverse bands and performers… theres a comedy night there in my future! For lunch I had the Korean chicken burger with kimchi mayo and my dining partner had the Greek salad with roast chicken. The burger was crispy and crunchy, just the right side of spicy and very, very, tasty… the salad had a balsamic glaze and was everything you would want.. a glass of red and a Virtue IPA ( brewed locally, and all the better for it). Throw in cheerful attentive staff, a great ambience even in the rain and the whole motorcar theme and you’re going to have a great time.. it’s just down the road (10 miles in a straight line east) from the Farmers Dog, the new pub owned by the Head Wiz and Grand Poo-Bah of all petrol geeks, so you can make a day of it, if you’re ICE inclined … honestly great breakfasts, lovely choice for lunch and you might , if you pop over to burford, see Jeremy as well.. personally, I’ll settle for that Korean burger….

Booked a table for 6 for brunch as family were visiting from Scotland. Great experience, quick friendly service, amazing food - the best full English I've had anywhere! Great atmosphere, quirky, unusual, lots of interesting things to look at and buy. Everyone in our party loved it and it's our new favourite place for brunch - going to try evening next, outdoor space will be great in the summer! The passionate, friendly, professional and attentive young staff really made it - great work guys!

I visited the cafe with high expectations, which lasted all of 2 minutes. The young blonde girl behind the counter was more interested in her phone. The owner, I think, is the rudest little man who speaks to his staff like dirt. He also cooks, badly, and wears a tea towel over his shoulder. No hygiene and food safety standards shown and the food is overpriced for BOOKERS burgers and chips!

I needed to have an informal business meeting, and chose Kingsley Cafe as somewhere easy for us both to get to, and with the right atmosphere for our meeting.
As soon as my my contact arrived his comment was “this place is so cool, I’ll definitely come again”!
We had a really tasty lunch which was exceptional value and the atmosphere was just perfect for our meeting. The team were really attentive and the general buzz really helped us to have the meeting we needed to have.
I have to say that the cafe was really busy for a Tuesday lunchtime and seemed to have a great mix of regular locals, people travelling, and us having our meeting in the corner.
We’ll both be back!

Last week, I had a disappointing full English in the very centre of Oxford. I was sad. One sausage, one rasher of bacon, scrambled eggs and asparagus (!) Today, oxfordshire has redemption. I had a proper full English, a petrolhead full English, in a man cave surrounded by restomod classics. It just cannot be beaten. Two sausages, multiple bacon, eggs, beans , mushrooms and hash browns (yes, I know), for under a tenner! Don’t be tempted to double up for a fiver, you don’t need to,it is the very best breakfast for miles around. Service was fab, even the tea was better than I’ve had in the past. Just do it… A40 , west of Oxford, near Eynsham. Buy a restored Range Rover while you’re there .. awesome!

The full English was very full and excellent. The coffee was really nice although served with cold milk. The cafe was full. Unfortunately the staff were pretty clueless with no apparent grip or system in place. I saw 8 people enter and leave because orders were not taken. Although you order at the bar/till yourself. This can be solved by simply having a front of house staff member. Great setting. Should be awesome. Needs a manager to grip it up.

Hi Sonia, I'm so sorry about your bad experience at Kingsley. We have installed a proper ladies bathroom now with 3 cubicles and fixed the issues in the gents cubicles ahead of a full refurbishment of this room next year. Apologies, Sally

This is our favourite brunch stop. We took our son and daughter in law here before they set off home to Devon. We were warmly welcomed ( including our little dog) the service was lovely and our breakfasts delicious! I tried the avocado dish for the first time and it was gorgeous! It is all the little details that make this a great spot, staff are so pleasant, a sausage for the dog, loos are clean and lovely, good quality sauces and just generally a good vibe. 10/10

We found this by accident and will return when we can as it is brilliant! The staff were pleasant and helpful and the food was top notch. Steak cooked perfectly and spicy chips and chicken tasty and a good portion! To top it all I had a great espresso martini 🍸. Interesting place with great outside area we are looking forward to visiting in the summer.
