Absolutely fantastic place to stay. This was our 3rd visit and certainly won’t be our last. Food is Beautiful, rooms are clean, comfy and spacious. The staff here are just so friendly and welcoming. I would recommend to anyone.
3 of us went for lunch. As a vegan I'm always a bit worried about my choices. Although there was little choice, what I had, a Thai curry was lovely and tasty. The staff were friendly and helpful and I will return at some point....All I ask for is more choice.More
Never fails in service or food . The staff are always good the meals were hot. We would recommend this place to any body.
The room was fab the breakfast was so nice and the staff were so friendly and so helpful definitely recommend. We were at a wedding down the road, if I knew how nice this was I would have stayed longer
Stayed 3 nights warm welcome on arrival great room.dog friendly fantastic staff nothing too much trouble. Excellent breakfast and evening meal. Would highly recommend. This is our second visit and won't be our last. Thanks for an enjoyable stay.
Spent 3 Nights staying at the Old Oak Tree. Absolutely 1st class. Food excellent, accommodation first class and clean and tidy and staff couldn’t do enough for us. Would thoroughly recommend.
First visit but definitely not our last. Warm, friendly welcome. Staff were pleasant and professional. Food excellent. Prices very reasonable. Even got a doggy bag to bring home without having to ask. Very pleasant evening would definitely recommend 👌.
We stopped en-route towards Seahouses in Northumberland. To be honest it doesn't look much from the outside (front) but the staff were warm and welcoming. The food is to die for. Just good home cooked pub food.
A lovely local pub with a impressive Garden/Patio Area. Food always fantastic here, not the cheapest, but again it's better than your typical "Pub Grub" so worth the bill. Service fantastic, bar staff always ready and keen, helpful and fun. Waitresses always attentive and concise....I would recommend to anybody.More
A little gem of a find. Delicious home cooked food, friendly and very helpful staff, such a busy little place so a great atmosphere too. Thank you
Good little pub near thirsk. Staff were mostly friendly and helpful. I had the fish pie which was delicious. Plenty of fish. My husband had the rump steak which he enjoyed. Only complaint was the chicken nuggets off the kids menu. My daughter tried them...but they weren't great. More like a fish batter which was greasy and overcooked. Maybe we made the wrong choice for her.More
Welcoming friendly staff, fantastic atmosphere and delicious food ❤️ highly recommend the duck pancakes, the gammon is huge its half a pig, The banoffee pie (chefs kiss). I can’t wait to go back.
Stayed and ate here … highly recommend. From checking in with Joe, who was really welcoming to dining in the busy restaurant can only say good things. The staff are friendly, the room is really good values and well equipped and the menu is huge....We had a lovely meal and stay so far. Dog friendly too so have brought our dog which was a deciding factorMore
We stayed here recently as our friends were getting married nearby. We arrived during a busy Sunday afternoon lunch service in the pub but that didn’t prevent a smooth and very welcoming check in process. We immediately booked for an evening meal because the food...smelled Devine! We stayed in room one which is separate from the main building. It was spacious, comfortable, and extremely clean. There’s a bath with shower, toiletries and also a fridge and tea and coffee facilities (Yorkshire Tea of course!) Due to the cost of living crisis the air con is an addition £5 per night which is entirely understandable. We were a little warm but nothing an open window didn’t solve. The pub itself was a lovely cosy feeling pub. Plenty of drinks options and a great menu full of choice. We had Yorkshire pudding as a start (as a Yorkshire lass myself, it was spot on I can tell you). We then had fish and chips which were very tasty! The area at the back of the pub on a sunny day is a great feature. Sun drenched patio with seating to enjoy the Yorkshire sunshine (when there is some haha). A brilliant place to stay and I’d highly recommend the same. The family running it should be very proud.More
