Needed to book, glad we did. The service was efficient, the choice and quality of food was was very good. The wine list could have been larger. Otherwise no complaint.

We had a very pleasant meal. Food was above average in our experience of Ireland. Well presented, great staff and accompanied by lovely wine. Good value.

When visiting, we eat at the Riverbank often. We have never, ever had a bad meal and actually just about the best of meals during our entire trip in Ireland. Service is great, food is piping hot. The reliable pub menu is mixed with very exciting daily specials to which the chef truly shines. Keeping with typical Irish dishes with... More

This is a great (Family owned) find in the small village of Dromahair.. we ate downstairs in the bar(The Clubhouse..The Riverbank Restaurant is upstairs) Specials are around 15 euro, starters around 8 and all simply fantastic, beautifully presented and to such a high standard. Waitresses were plentiful, friendly and professional as was the bar man. Now for the negatives.. For... More

Have been a regular for over two years eating there at least once/twice a week, tolerated the odd poor food as overall it was a pleasant place with good food and friendly staff. However on a recent visit we had duck which was so dry on the edges it was like leather. Made the mistake of informing the very polite... More

Far too many staff for the number of guests and you were conscious they were hanging around looking for something to do. They have little or no experience of a fine dining restaurant and training is needed here. Food was excellent.
