A bit grubby, no bar snacks, only ones staying, had to let ourselves out and lock up in the morning, shower wasn't very powerful, breakfast priced at £15.
Stopped by looking for Sunday lunch. Not our usual stop in Kettlewell/upper Wharfedale but it will be after this. Excellent Sunday roast. Special mentions for the pork, the vegetables (good variety and perfectly cooked) and the gravy. Very good service, very good value for money....We will be back.More
Came for Sunday lunch with friends, food beautiful, roast pork Sunday dinner very good value. Catered for gluten free and vegetarian. Nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend
Definitely recommend this lovely pub for a meal. It is a change to be offered fresh fish and vegetables in a pub and we really enjoyed our sea bass. Staff were welcoming and friendly and our only criticism was the fire wasn’t lit on a...quiet Wednesday night in January.More
What a lovely experience made so much better by the hospitality of Dave and Hannah. We turned up on a Wednesday morning in the middle of a snowstorm hitting minus 7 on the thermometer. Even though they had no other bookings and were deliberating closing...early the welcomed us with open arms. They stayed on for most of the day so we could drink in the pub and even though they were short stocked due to lack of delivery’s they offered to cook whatever they had left if we wanted to eat there. We had the pub to ourselves for the evening and even though the weather was getting worse they still came back the following morning to cook us a banging full English breakfast. Unbeknown to us they had invited a homeless gentlemen who had got stranded in the village for a free breakfast which shows the heart of our hosts. The pub was wonderfully warm selling some great beers and offering lovely food. The menu looked fantastic and made our mind up to definitely go back in better weather so we can experience the full menu on offer. Our room was beautiful situated on the top floor overlooking the church over the road. The facilities were second to none and everything we needed was always on hand. We were able to watch the smart tv with no issues from the WiFi and catch up on the odd email at the same time. Thank you so much for having us guys you made the whole trip away brilliant and thanks again for the celebratory drink on the house. Can’t wait to come back soon.More
Visited on New Year’s Eve for tea with our little dog. The food was delicious with plenty of choice. The staff were welcoming and the locals were friendly. The dog was fussed over and fed some turkey from the kitchen. Highly recommend if you’re in...the area ☺️More
Couldn’t really fault the Kings Head. We went on Christmas Day for a drink. The staff were really friendly, drying our dog & bringing him a sausage. They were so nice that we booked a table for dinner on Boxing Day. The food was good...& our dog was given another sausage so he was a big fan! We had cheese & onion pie, steak & ale pie and fish & chips, all of which were really good sized portions & very tasty.More
beautiful countryside location and well-priced pints! the family are enjoying popping into random pubs on road trips for a great dinner. If ever the chance comes again, we shall return!
Great to see the Kings back again. Just home from an amazing weekend. Thanks to David, Louise & the team. Food was excellent, rooms clean and tidy and the service and atmosphere was fantastic. Thanks again and see you all in a few weeks. Even...the pesky elf !!!!More
What a treat to find a relaxed and friendly pub with great food values in this lovely village. Everything on the menu was tempting and it was obvious when the food arrived that there is a sure and skilled hand in the kitchen. We had...delicious brisket and confit belly pork - both freshly cooked with great ingredients and in satisfying portions. The sticky toffee pudding was both light and, well, sticky. I loved it, and I don’t even like STP. Service was friendly and cheerful and very kind to our nervous dog.More

Please carry on doing what you do because its absolutely working.More
On the spur of the moment we decided to visit The Kings Head for lunch and jolly good it was too. Gregarious landlord who had only recently taken over, first class pub food from a substantial blackboard menu; Very dog friendly. The pub deserves to be...successful and we hope that it is. We shall certainly returnMore
Last minute one night stay for my birthday. Excellent find. Very comfortable room. Delightful traditional, well priced food. Will definitely be back for a longer stay. Thank you!
No complaints ! Friendly staff , spoil dogs rotten , sausage one afternoon and own plate of Turkey scraps at Sunday lunch . Atmosphere the best of the 3 pubs in the village and the cleanest . Food superb . Not overpriced . Would recommend
