We went to Captain Hermans Fish Fry for lunch. It’s a great spot on the eastern side not too far from the lighthouse. One building and a bunch of outside tables which had thatch covered roofs. We shared the conch fritters and fried grouper. They...More

Offering fried fish of many unusual species, in a seaside setting in an outdoor format. Food is fast with interesting drink selection.

I have been here many times and still find the 'whatever' attitude dismissive. Last time had the fried grouper and lemon shrimp. The SMALL serving of grouper for $ci16 was surprising. The lemon shrimp had no lemon, rather some jar sauce on it.....nothing lemony about...More

My husband and I enjoyed our dinner here, seating is outdoors with great views of the beach. Food was super tasty and fresh. The best meal we had whilst on the island!

We stayed at the compass point dive resort and stopped at Herman’s nearly every day. Been to seven different Caribbean islands, and after Landhuis Misje in curacao, this is our all time favorite.

The service was great. The ladies behind the counter offered assistance and recommendations on menu items. The weight took a while since we ordered all items that were cooked to order but the shop is set right on the beach with picnic tables overlooking the...More

We returned to Captain Herman's a year after discovering this great place! It did not disappoint. We all got the Grouper and fries which ran $35 USD. Plenty of room for kids to run around. Remember to bring cash and enjoy the beautiful views.

No it is along the opposite side of the island road side. It is a very small fish shack with benches outside to sit and eat. It gets windy later in the day.
