Had an excellent meal here on a Saturday night in August whilst away for the week on holiday nearby. Extremely generous portions and the brie starter in particular was so tasty. We were too full for dessert!

Don’t visit this place if you just want a drink ! Called in at 17.30 only to be told all the tables are set for food although only 6 people in the place Didn’t even get the offer of a table on the condition that...we moved before a certain time !!! Looked like you were only welcome if you were local ! It’s a great shame it’s the only pub in caistor Needs some completion Be advised unless you want food stay awayMore

Have eaten here before (in 2018) when visiting family who live locally, so they booked again. Food was excellent, service very slow we later found out that they were very short-staffed Menu has a good selection of "pub grub" and is very reasonably priced. Also...like that they offer smaller portions of the main meals so if yo don't eat large or are watching yor calorie intake it's a great idea (the "small" fish &chis was a really decent size portion!) Bill for 6 of us with drinks & 2 courses was £101 Will definitely return and highly recommendMore

What a lovely, traditional pub. We have been staying locally for the past 5 days and ate here in the evening twice. We had the chicken tikka curry and liver and bacon on the first visit and both were great. Then we had steak and...ale pie and seafood pie. Wow, even better. Heartily recommended.More

Just had starters after a walk around the wolds but to be fair if we hadn't booked elsewhere for dinner we'd have stayed. Excellent service and the food fantastic we had 2 starters and the quality and service exceptional
