I've read some of the reviews that rate the Magic Wok as bad, the food portions as small, the service poor and so on. Well, a group of six of us enjoyed a first class experience. Service was efficient, food came in a reasonable time (two courses), portions were excellent, the food was beautifully cooked and so on. The mixed... More

Probably not the best way to enjoy a restaurant, but I dropped in on a Friday night with friends were starving hungry when I had already had a big lunch and was not terribly hungry. I had the pork chop suey. It was nice enough, if a bit watery without rice. The house white wine was very nice. The menu... More

"Beer at Champagne Prices" is probably the best phrase to sum this place up. Used this restaurant a lot over the years, but on visiting again last week, I have to say that prices seem to have rocketed and portion sizes decreased. Glad to say, the quality of the food is still quite good though. The worst thing for me... More

This used to be a happy place to visit. Having experienced ill health recently we haven't visited for about 6 months. What a change. No one said hello as we walked in, we were barked at, scowled at and generally made to feel like we were in the way. None of the staff smiled at any of the diners In... More

I haven't been here for years...so thought would try it again. The welcome was friendly enough, but not overwhelming. The service was efficient....the food though was great and reminded me of why I used to come so much. Wine was priced well and overall a good experience.

It's many years since I last went here, the reason being my previous experiences weren't good. I was pleasantly surprised in the main. Warm, friendly, engaging service. And very good food. Maybe the arrival of Naturally Chinese has pushed up the standard? The food was cooked to order, deep fried tofu to start was excellent garnished with chilli, garlic, chive,... More

Excellent food and great service! Only problem was car parking - we had to park in a side street 200 metres away.

Twenty years since I visited. Food was still cooked to order and very tasty. Service was friendly but efficient. Prices were also very reasonable for the area. So glad not everything has gotten worse. Thoroughly recommend it.

Staff were lovely, very helpful. The starter for me was weak & felt like it was cooked earlier, Smoked chicken. My sizzling lamb was mainly grizzle & inedible. Shame as it looked like a great venue.
