Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We held our wedding lunch here 10 years ago and recently went back to celebrate our anniversary. We were seated upstairs and the tables were nicely spaced out to ensure privacy. The service was fantastic and the food was just amazing - we had the...3 course set lunch menu and both loved every mouthful! It was such a treat and hopefully we won't wait another 10 years before going back!More

I don’t understand why it is not mentioned in the guide. It is a very good restaurant and I strongly recommend the tasting menu for 70 pounds. The presentations and flavours are brilliant as well the service made by young and passionate personnel. You can...opt for the wine paring which I didn’t but the wine list is also acceptable. Good food and good dinner if you are in area. Also visit the pub next door before or after for a true British atmosphere.More

I popped into The French Table today for a business lunch. I had the cauliflower veloute which won me over even though I don't usually enjoy cauliflower, and a very nice pot au feu. The food was good and I was particularly impressed by the...thoughtful and knowledgeable service. Our waiter was very polite and attentive and clearly passionate about the food.More

Celebrated my husband’s birthday here. From the confirmation phone call to the end of the meal the service was excellent. We had special menus printed with my husband’s name at the top, plus little table decorations, and happy birthday written on his dessert. It was...a lovely experience. Also, the service at this place was phenomenal. It felt fancy without being pretentious, and every single member of staff we interacted with was polite and genuinely friendly, as well as answering any questions very helpfully. 10 out of 10 for service, and the food was delicious and beautifully presented.More

I can't get my head around that one of the very best restaurants in London, is in a suburb. The food, the wine and the service is consistently faultless. This long established, chef owned restaurant has never disappointed. Imaginative and perfectly executed food with the...opportunity to pair with memorable wine. Charming attentive staff in this stylish and comfortable environment. Unsurprisingly you need to book well in advance but do it.More

Not visited the French Table for 5 years, and having just read the 5 star review I gave it then, it was great to find that it was every bit as outstanding this time round. All of the food was beautifully presented and delicious, and...service was friendly, helpful and professional. We could not have chosen a better place for a family 70th birthday celebration. Not really , the french have always been slightly more casual than we brits. Smart casual is fine, but I feel sure that if you wished to dress up more for a special occasion that would also be great.
