My sister and her young family were told last week their custom was no longer wanted. Our family have been going there for over 20 years as our now elderly father lives next door and was a very good meeting point for our extended family. The cause of the banning by the Romanian manager(a long way to come to upset... More

Management response:

Dear Michael  Regrettably, it appears that you have not been correctly informed of the events of the day. A polite request to the parents to calm the children down, was met by a torrent of abuse and threats, which neither I nor my staff should be expected to tolerate. Hence the request to leave.  Yours Sincerely  Waggon & Horses More

A nice little pub if your looking for a quiet time. Never really packed out like the main pubs of Surbiton but it's nice when you want to feel like your in a library having a drink. Cosy, calm and always polite service. Simple pleasures at time. Nice pub.

My fiancé and I had been struggling to find a venue to hold our party, until we came across this place. They were very accommodating and let us reserve their area at the rear. This was a perfect area to fit approximately 40 guest and everyone had a great evening. The staff are very friendly and professional, the food was... More

Came here for our friends' engagement party last night where they'd hired the space at the back. The bar staff were friendly and helpful despite loads of us piling up at the bar at the end of happy hour! My parents live near Surbiton and I'd definitely come back with them as it's a really nice space and good value... More

We hired an area for my wife's birthday. The area we were given was spacious with a plentiful amount of chairs & ample room to stand too. The ambience of the place was great, with music playing loud enough to be heard, but not so loud that you had to shout to have a conversation. The food was really good.... More

I can also vouch for the fact the new management have really turned this pub on it's head. It's much friendlier with a nicer atmosphere since they have taken over. Service is also efficient, they are doing a great job.

The moment I waked in we were made to feel welcome, the decor, the crackling fire to the right, the chesterfield seating, the 2 For 1 Pizza lunchtime deal is magnificent, I recommend the Meat Feast, The staff are welcoming, always going out of there way to make your stay, even more enjoyable, the beer speaks volumes no bother there,... For me service is key. And the Waggon & Horses certainly meets that criteria. Good friendly, efficient staff. And a good selection of at least four real ales. All home cooked food to add to this, which makes it an excellent all round venue.

The waggon has been through a few mangers since I moved in up the road however, the new owners are amazing! They are warm and inviting and are making a real effort in terms of bring the place back to good old fashion quality pub grub and lovely Sunday roasts! It's family and dog friendly and they welcome feedback which... More

The new management at the Waggon have transformed this pub into the perfect location for all! The food is desirable and reasonably priced. The pub now has a warm and welcoming feel to it, where locals can gather for a drink yet enable families to dine quietly! Definitely recommend a trip here!!!!
