Recently refitted being newly painted, new chairs, new carpet. Have been going there for years and love the food. I live in the city but travel here as it is a better Yum Cha place then those in Chinatown. All food is fresh and (as I know) made on the premises. Staff are friendly and warm, those who can speak... Decided to pay this restaurant a visit after reading widely differing reviews. Visited on a Sunday so decided to make a booking which was accepted. Some yum cha won't accept Sunday's booking. Arrived at appointed time of 11am and notes restaurant was only half full. Was shown to our table and ordered.tea. The yum cha dishes then started coming being... More

We met to celebrate a birthday at the Hung Cheung Restaurant Marrickville and we all enjoyed the great food and service. There is plenty of room in the spacious restaurant and good views from three sides through the large glass panels. The atmosphere and service is excellent, and we'll be back...A great place for a gathering.

avoid this place! the yum cha is terrible, mostly frozen dumplings that are overcooked therefore soggy and tasteless. the waitresses are like zombies and the atmosphere is dead. this place was ok years ago but it is not worth wasting your time here.

I was here a few years ago and the food was good from memory, not so much this time. The dim sum seemed like the frozen ones you can buy from the supermarket, which is a shame 'cause fresh dim sum can be awesome! On the upside wasabi chicken - brilliant, just a hint of heat with all the flavour... More

After seeing the restaurant on a current affair i realised why that night we had dinner there was so disgusting. The whole family minus my little daughter who we bought maccas before we arrived got sick..constant vomiting and bad diaharea..very bad experience..they hang there meat up in the back laneway near the rubbish bins..putrid place.must be closed down

We planned this lunch for my wife's birthday. She wanted to include close family and grandchildren. Our grandchildren are still at the messy stage of eating and can also be on the noisy side. Not a problem at all at this venue. Staff were efficient and accommodating. The seating was comfortable and kid proof. The food was average Chinese, not exciting... More

After coming here over the last couple of years I found today's food not up to par. Everything was oily and generally had no flavour. Service was fast. When coming here prepare yourself as there are no prices on the menu and you will more likely get a shock on your bill. We paid $57 for 6 small plates and... More

Wide ranging Asian cuisine here. Service is variable, initially very welcoming then had to call them to order, then to remind them to provide plates, bowls and utensils. Food came in typical Asian style, ie. when it was cooked. All dishes were well prepared, tasty and came in large servings, so we didn't leave hungry. Very busy but not noisy... More

This review is based on dinner bought from here as takeaway, bought by family members who live locally in Marrickville and eaten at home on a late Friday night, The servings were quite generous in portion size, with the sliced beef suitably tender and tasty. The bean-curd and green bean dish was a good complementary dish, but was a little... More
