We certainly won't be going back. The new winter menu was lacking in choice and we waited far too long for an extremely average dish. My pork belly was cooked well but my husband ordered the fish and chips and the chips were hardly cooked anaemic and tasteless. I mentioned on leaving that we were disappointed and was told they... Cute little café that is close to the beach and very handy to pop into for either a take out coffee or dine in. We did both! Good hearty food and the coffee was great. When we dined in for lunch the service was very slow - but once we received the food it was worth the wait!

We loved our first visit here and will return. It is really nice being able to sit outside on a sunny day and watch the world pass you by! We all had different variations of the "build your own breakfast". However, this can end up being an expensive option as the "base" is two eggs on toast ($10) and then... More

Thanks for taking time to post feedback, we listen to it all. We used to have a big breakfast but it was not as popular as other dishes, and many people asked to change the items - hence the "build your own" philosophy. Doing lots of sides slows the kitchen down too we admit, so we focus and promote more... More

Stopped in on a Sunday morning with friends after walking their dog along the beach. Loved how this place is so dog friendly. They put an extra table outside for us as the spaces were all taken and provided fresh water for the pooch. Such friendly service and all of us enjoyed our food. Super fresh and tasty with a... We stayed at the reef apartments just a 5 minute walk away. We came for brunch on the first day of our holiday and ended up going back for 3 brunches and one dinner. There were 8 of us with one child. The choices covered the healthy options and the staples of eggs benedict etc, with amazing chutneys and a... More

Stunning location, excellent food and friendly, helpful staff. Tay Street Beach Cafe served me the best piccolo that I have ever had. The food is slightly off the beaten track (appropriately) and is always good quality in flavour, presentation and ingredients. Whether a tasty breakfast to start the day through to a late lunch with a glass of wine, highly... More

Nothing special but nice, nice ice cream after walk on the beach. Usually quite busy, would recommend booking or getting their early(if you can)

Goodness, "not special" but rated 5 star. Clearly we are doing the essentials pretty well. Thanks for posting feedback for us. BTW Ice Creams are sold by a different operator independent of the Café. More

We were warmly greeted at this cheery beach side cafe and ate outside in the sunshine. The coffee was excellent and service fast and friendly. Golden yolked eggs. Delicious waffles. Innovative dishes which would suit vegans and health conscious eaters. It looks like a neighbourhood hang out for dog walkers

Just a few hundred metres from our accommodation to find a little gem is a real bonus. Whatever time during the day there seems to be throngs of people gathering here. The coffee is very good as was demonstrated by the large numbers. For lunch one day we decided to see if the standards flow through and they certainly do.... More

We visited this busy little cafe for a late lunch. There was one spare table outside and the waitress kindly moved the umbrella to provide us with some shade. We ordered our drinks and perused the menu for lunch options. Our friend ordered the calamari salad and we both ordered the salmon sashimi bowl. We asked if we could have... More
