Booked lunch here en route back to Norfolk. Don’t know why it was fairly empty - perhaps Saturday lunch is not the busiest time - but we all had the steak and ale pie which were superb. Chips too were very good. Cheerful staff. Highly...More

Booked for a Saturday lunch, and we all ordered the pie. It was excellent! A proper pastry pie packed full of deliciously tender beef. Would definitely visit again.

We felt really safe in here. People were not allowed in without face covering. We enjoyed a very generous Roast Dinner on Sunday evening.

Doggy friendly, attentive staff and yummy food. Highly recommend this pub especially if you are walking the Thames path as we were doing today.

Great atmosphere, friendly welcoming staff and excellent food. Always nice to sit in a pub with a nice open fire. Dog friendly is always a plus in my book.

The food was incredible and they were great at making my child a celeac safe dinner. They checked everything. Took a while to get seated but they were super busy. The staff were friendly and the prices were great. Will definitely be back.

We really enjoyed our dinner at the Royal Stag - food was great, a decent selection of drinks, quick and friendly service in a very pleasant dining area improvised from the top of the carpark. Bit of a bummer being told to "get out of...More

Pie was 10 out of 10. But the chips were hard and crispy. The swirly sausage was just okay. Mash had lumps in it. Gravy was a little gloopy. Price for 1 starter, 2 meals and 2 soft drinks =43 pounds. Quite Expensive.
