We’ve just spent two nights at The Two Sawers and everything was just wonderful; smashing room, great food at a reasonable price and helpful, friendly management and staff.

Fantastic pub. Family outing, all enjoyed our meals, 4 empty plates. Best meal out in 2023, will return. Service brilliant. Lamb really tender, pork tasty.
Halloween dinner and live band Excellent delicious food and very good service . Music and dancing .
Chose The Two Sawyers whilst we were in the area for a family get together as they feature a good GF range and are dog-friendly. We experienced a warm welcome and at no time were we hurried to order or eat. The food was fabulous...with all seven of us offering a five-star rating. In fact my father said that the sticky toffee pudding was infinitely better than one he had at a Marco Pierre White restaurant a few weeks earlier. As for me, a special mention for the fully loaded chips which were just fabulous. I wish I lived closer so I could make a return visit. I'll certainly make tracks back here next time I'm in the area. 10/10 (in fact 11/10) 😁More
We were staying in the village of Pett for a week with family visiting for a couple of days. We booked a table for Saturday night for 6 adults and 3 children in the restaurant. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Service was excellent and...the food absolutely delicious. We booked again for Sunday lunch which had the choice of roast dinners or normal menu. Some of us had the roast beef lunch others off the main menu. Once again absolutely delicious. We were so impressed with visited on two more occasions with other family members . Delicious fresh fish and gorgeous desserts. Such a friendly pub with staff and locals alike . Nice garden to sit in . Definitely worth a visit and suggest booking.More
We stayed for three nights. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. Access to it, and other bedrooms, was via a steep and difficult stairway. Anyone who is not fully fit and able might find it very difficult to climb. It was disturbing and potentially...very dangerous to find a fire door wedged open. Particularly as on three occasions the fire alarm in our bedroom went off and we had to find a member of staff to establish whether or not there was a fire. Apparently smoke in the kitchen was the cause. We had breakfast on three occasions, on two of them the breakfasts were excellent. The poorest breakfast was the first we had and the service was haphazard and the food was over cooked. The cost of accommodation here is not cheap so to just put a notice in the room stating that they can’t be bothered servicing the room during our stay is just not acceptable. We had dinner on our first night, one meal was fine the other was not. The shredded duck salad was spoilt by the duck being so overcooked that it was hard and stringy. Just about edible but not enjoyable.More
5 Stars. If we lived nearby it would be our go to local and restaurant. We stayed for eight days, the room was really spacious. The staff were attentive and eager to please. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was so great, we dined...there each night, even though other options were available in the area. Very homely and impressive. We would definitely recommend the Two Sawyers.More
My husband and I have often had Sunday lunch at The Two Sawyers, one of our favourite local pubs. However, when we lunched there yesterday it was clear the place had changed hands, as several pub classics like steak and kidney pie, had disappeared from...the menu, and the only Special was a fish dish which actually wasn't Special because it was already on the main menu. My husband chose roast beef, but his roast potatoes were rock hard and almost black - likewise his Yorkshire pudding. He complained to the waitress that both were inedible and she said there would be no charge for his meal. My chicken Caesar salad promised crispy bacon, Parmesan and anchovies. To my horror, the anchovies used were the white ones in vinegar, not the salted and preserved kind canned in olive oil, as they should have been. The white ones tainted the salad with a fishy flavour. There was one small piece of crispy bacon and no discernible Parmesan. On the plus side, the desserts - apple crumble and crème brûlée - were tasty and generously portioned. But we won't be returning to The Two Sawyers, sadly.More
Food was amazing as always Staff could not do enough to help Fantastic garden and loads of parking Highly recommended the two sawyers
We have loved coming to this pub for both the food and the area. The nearby walk at Pett Level didn't disappoint. However our pub lunch was very disappointing. Sausage and mash and sausage and chips in a basket. The first meal had three sausages...but the veg and mash were such tiny portions. The second meal of sausage and chips in a basket had dry overcooked crunchy chips. The sausages were all different flavours which was rather strange especially as one was chorizo flavoured! A description of the flavour sausages on the menu which are bought from the ,oval butcher would have been helpful. Priced at £12.95 & £13.50 I would expect better than the meals we received.More
Absolutely fantastic lunch! Very welcoming and warm service. Would 100% recommend. Very beautiful pub too!
The food, atmosphere, staff and experience was so fantastic. We loved the food, the service was really great. We had a great night. Will recommend and return! Thank you
Lovely pub with plenty of outdoor seating and loads of parking. Very small bar right in doorway. Gorgeous fireplaces x2. Tables were a bit sticky. A side of cauliflower cheese came as a dessert spoon fill approximately, on the plate and not in a side...dish bowl. At 2£ extra, I would expect at least 2 spoons in a separate dish, as sides normally come. To picky? Roast rack of pork had at least 3/4 inch of fat and the meat was mostly pink this Sunday lunch. Asked for it to be wrapped for my foxes. The crumble on the apple was delicious the apple slices not so much. The custard was a water consistency and not appealing....to me at least.More
This place was one of the recommendations of the B & B we stayed in. We liked it so much we went back the next evening! The staff is super friendly and attentive, the atmosphere is cozy, and the food is delicious. They had enough...options for me to eat vegetarian both nights (the first night with two starters - the soup and a salad which was a wonderful respite from a full meal while traveling and plenty filling) and the second with a yummy pasta meal.More
Great Sunday roast in a pleasant venue - meat tender , potatoes crispy . Staff friendly .we sat outside in the beautiful gardens.
