We went here for lunch and were the only people here. Jess was the most wonderful host and she knew her stuff! We all really enjoyed our lunch (best pies around!!) and felt very relaxed and welcomed. Highly recommend a visit!

My wife and I decided to spend a day just driving around and discovering areas near Hobart. We discovered the Hartzview Vineyard cafe by accident, and decided to stop and see what it offered. The cafe and "winery" are cosy and situated high on a hill with a restive rural view. We purchased some miniature bottles of liqueurs and novelty... More

Love this place, the salads are just divine, the lettuce is so fresh, just picked from their gardens. We had the smoked salmon crepes and salad, absolutely beautiful. The views and surroundings are great, the staff super friendly and helpful. The wines and liqueurs are a real treat! Try the Raspberry liqueur and Cassis are my favourites. Wholeheartedly recommend this... More

Went for a coffee, stayed for lunch. Lunch is a simple but honest affair. We had pie and salad and with a reserve Chardonnay and it was great. The trip up to the winery is one of the most scenic ones and the view from the restaurant is likewise. Great tasting wines with good explanations and reasonably prised for a... More

A nice drive through the country side with speccy views of distant mountain ranges leads to a reasonably hidden vineyard. All wines can be tasted and showcase the Tassie spectrum of wine making ability.

We were recommended to visit. An amazing winery with good wholesome food and nice wines. Our waitress Cheryl was attentive and obliging. Reasonably priced. The winery has heritage pickers cottages which are worth the walk to view. Lovely view across the valley

Reasonable wines and lovely meads but the food was ordinary at best. Glorious views of distant snowy mountains make the drive worthwhile.

Had lunch at Hartzview. The food was okay, my husband had a pie and salad, it was over $20.00. The pie was over microwaved and not pleasant. I had the salmon crepe, it was nice. They do not have great kitchen facilities, it is behind the bar. We did the wine tasting and enjoyed it.

First time that the wife and I have done a "wine tasting" which was also a "fortified" wine taste session. Wine was ok, ports/ liqueurs were fantastic and we ended up taking 4 large bottles with. Ended up staying for coffee/ hot chocolate/ cheese platter and Devonshire Tea! Everything was really yummy and the service was excellent. Great destination, really... More
