We visited Gravetye Manor for lunch to celebrate my girlfriends birthday. Driving up to the manor was spectacular and we were warmly welcomed by the doorman. We were seated by the open fire to have pre-lunch drinks and make our menu choices. I chose Wagu beef tartar as a starter and pigeon breasts with pigeon faggot for my main. My... More

What a fabulous place this is - we have never been disappointed. Went to a 40 th Anniversary Relais and Chateau dinner, which was outstanding. Andrew, the Managing Director is such an asset to this place, as is George the Head Chef, and his team, who produce such wonderful flavour combinations, all of which are presented so beautifully - not... We celebrated our wedding anniversary here and felt thoroughly pampered. Stunning gardens and simply gorgeous to sit outside in our own privacy of the garden nipping our champagne and enjoying the anticipation of reading the menu, before dinner. The staff were very courteous and professional, yet personable. This was one of those special restaurant experiences that don't happen often in... More

Absolutely wonderful from the moment we arrived. An old Manor House and now a small hotel. Set in lovely grounds. Greeted so politely and taken to our table. The wood panelled lounge and traditional looking crockery sets a fantastic scene. The service was professional, and the food exquisite. Warm scones both fruit and plain were delicious. A mousse cleverly presented... More

We had booked a table for 12 o'clock as we had a family tea later in the afternoon. We arrived about 10 minutes early and were shown to the lounge for a pre lunch drink. Eventually we were taken to the restaurant where an amuse bouche arrived. From the time of our booking it was 1 hour and 5 minutes... More

We have recently visited the Gravetye Manor Restaurant to celebrate my mother's birthday. There is a fixed course lunch promotion running at present (3 courses for £33) which is fabulous value for money. From the moment you arrive you are treated as a very special guest. All of the staff are trained to the very highest standard. The choice from... More

On arrival down a most wonderful drive you arrive at the gates to a most wonderful looking country restaurant/hotel. Car parking is in two sections, restaurant and one for the hotel side of things. I must say that the car park was full in the restaurant car park but it was only that way due to bad parking. I did... More

The title of this reviews says it all, although I would add: the food is absolutely outstanding. I eat in some great restaurants and this was the best this year by a very long way. We went for lunch, which I would recommend as the gardens are worth a walk round. Thank you very much, I will be back.

Nothing is too much trouble here. Our party off eight, to celebrate a 50th wedding anniversary, meant some special requests being made prior to and during the day's lunchtime and tea celebrations. All were met without a hint of irritation at being asked to go away from the well rehearsed and executed routine roles. In fact, being asked for something... More

From unhurried classical dining in our atmospheric wood panelled restaurant to leisurely lunches in the garden, from traditional Afternoon Teas to our very reasonable Table d’Hote menu – we hope to delight and enchant with our food regardless of the occasion. We are incredibly fortunate to have a one acre walled kitchen garden, which during the summer months provides 95% of all fruit and vegetables we use in the kitchen, assuring you of the very freshest ingredients.

"We have an exceptionally talented team in the kitchen who are very keen to keep ingredients as fresh and local as possible. Dishes will change as often as is practical and will offer something new to try regardless of how often our guests dine with us. I look forward to inviting you into our restaurant at an exciting time to try, what I firmly believe to be, some of the most honest and delicious food in food in the area." Executive Chef – Rupert Gleadow
