Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Our last evening meal whilst on holiday in Cheddar, very popular pub so definitely need to book in advance as it was fully booked the night we went. Food was fantastic with a good range to choose from including the specials board, despite being busy...the wait for the food wasn’t too long and all beautiful prepared. The home made chips were amazing! Staff warm friendly and personable and we didn’t feel awkward entering somewhere we hadn’t been beforeMore

Booked for evening meal while on holiday. Had driven past earlier in the week and then read reviews. They were very positive and, not wrong. The three of us had main course and desert, all of which were stunningly good pub food. So much so,...before we finished our main courses we made sure we booked the same table for the following night.More

We went for an evening meal as we had heard how great the food is. The menu was full of excellent choices. We were served straightaway and as we hadn’t booked were given a table that was reserved for later in the evening. The service...was excellent throughout the evening and the staff were very friendly. Our only disappointment was that we couldn’t return there for another meal before we came home.More

We were staying at the Old Manor House a few yards from the Inn and were suggested to have our evening meal there. We rang and booked a table and walked to the place. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had our meal...which was better than the average pub meal. We would definitely return if going back in the vicinity.More

Friendly, pleasant staff who are very accommodating and welcoming on arrival. A lovely window seat, with plenty of space. Atmosphere was good. Nice and quiet late afternoon and a very relaxing environment. Food was piping hot, tasty and well portioned. A good range of high...quality food, and a good mix of drinks. I noticed they do Clean Gin which is a favourite of mine. The specials boards by the fire place are a brilliant idea. I had the cauliflower cheese bake with garlic bread & salad, and my friend had ploughman’s. Thoroughly enjoyed. Even squeezed in room for dessert which I had sticky toffee pudding & ice cream ( again, a nice special to include ) and my friend had ice cream. A very clean and tidy country pub. Shall be returning! Many thanks to Jo and Jodie who served us. Polite and friendly, and made my catch up with my friend even more enjoyable.More

I am sorry, I don’t know if there is wheelchair access. There are steps to the front door and to the beer garden. It is possible there is access another way, but it wasn’t clear.
