We asked friends to organise somewhere we could eat, spend the evening that was dog friendly as they were local and we were staying nearby. We went on a Monday evening mid June and if we hadn’t booked we wouldn’t of got a table. Good...choice of gins and local beers. Lovely menu and great specials on top of the menu. We had the haddock with bubble and squeek and poached egg (specials board) the egg was lovely and runny, and lasagne (main menu), all was used with fresh ingredients. It was a lovely evening, the service was attentive without being intrusive and the dog was made to feel very welcome, with other customers saying hello to her. We had planned to go to a local cafe for lunch on our last day but they had closed for equipment maintenance so we decided to go back as we’d enjoyed the food so much. This time we had baguettes one with pulled pork and the other was BLT. Both were lovely, freshly baked, great amount of filling, they came with side salad and home made coleslaw and we shared a portion of chunky chips. We had the rhubarb and ginger crumble with custard, and honeycombed, strawberry and fudge ice cream for desert. This is a great location on the way to or from Bristol airport for us and if we are travelling and need a meal we’ll pop in. We sat inside both times as it was very hot at the time but they have a beer garden and also gave parking. Thanks for two wonderful meals, that were very well priced, we will be back.More

Excellent food! Lasagne was huge, fish and chips excellent, ham, egg and chips also great. Special of Chicken with leek mash good but too much garlic butter, in a jug on the side is a better option. Kids meals gosh goujons and sausage and chips...good. Toilets were a mess and need regular cleaning. Good play area for the kids.More

We booked in here for a meal whilst staying at the B&B opposite. The food and service were excellent and there is a lovely atmosphere. The prices were reasonable. There is a pretty beer garden for good weather. We recommend booking as they get busy....Will definitely eat here again.More

I was looking for a spot of lunch on the way back from Bristol airport… was delightfully surprised by the service and the quality of the food! The roasted pork belly is to die for, and the tuna steak with risotto was also delicious! Beer...was good, too, but sadly I was driving!More

Excellent dinner last night in this very friendly pub restaurant. Extensive menu with some great ‘Daily Specials’. Recommend booking as it’s very popular. Prices are reasonable, portions are generous. Would happily visit again. Recommend the liver and bacon with mash and a super rich gravy...and a selection of vegetables. Sirloin steak also very well cooked.More

We booked our table as we were told it would be busy - sure enough, we were delighted to have booked ahead. All the staff were super friendly, helpful and welcoming and the place had a real buzz about it. We weren't sure if we...would have a roast, but then saw other guests having theirs delivered - we made the right choice, it was delicious. Large helpings, proper cooked vegetables and delicious beef and gravy. Yum yum! We didn't try any desserts as we were so full.More

We chose the New Inn as we needed somewhere just south of Bristol. The staff were most welcoming and the place is dog friendly. There is an extensive menu - we chose pork belly, tuna and the lambs liver all of which were excellent. However...the desserts exceeded these, particularly the white chocolate and strawberry flan. A special mention for the bathrooms which are quirky and immaculately clean.More

I am sorry, I don’t know if there is wheelchair access. There are steps to the front door and to the beer garden. It is possible there is access another way, but it wasn’t clear.
