Me and hubby eat out alot. Indian is our favourite dish but over the years have been disappointed with high priced low value food in Indian Restaurants so stuck to a small local place that did our favourite to how we liked it but even then we could only afford to eat there once every couple of months. A friend suggested trying Indus & I was very dubious but had no reason to be at all. It really was an absolutely impeccable experience from start to finish. The staff, the drinks, the cost and more importantly the taste of the food was out of this world. Will definitely be eating here again. Not one bad thing to note. Highly Recommended

This was our first visit to this restaurant. The Indus Restaurant has recently undergone a major refurbishment to an extremely high standard. During these difficult times the restaurant layout meets the requirements of social distancing. A friendly greeting on your arrival and no delay in being taken to your table. Service at the table was extremely efficient with no 30 minutes plus delay from ordering your food to it being brought to the table that I’ve experienced at other restaurants. The menu is extensive. I described the type of curry I wanted, creamy but packed with flavour and a Makhni was recommended, I was not disappointed, it was superb. Makhni is currently not on the menu but they will cook it for you if you ask. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. A 5 star experience.

It was an incredible experience at the restaurant with a outstanding service from all the staff. Every single member of our family was thoroughly impressed by the level of customer service we was given to the adults and the children. The food was delicious and very well presented with alot of detailed introduction to each and every dish served by the well trained staff. We have to say each bite of the dishes were mouth watering with a unique taste to all the different dishes ordered. We definitely will be visiting Indus Restaurant from now on for any of our family dine in. Many Thanks to all the Staff there and the restaurant itself.

Booked a table at 8pm. Arrived and they had already given our table away by “mistake”. Waited half an hour to be seated. By 9:30 we had only had our starters. Main courses come out at 09:40 and due to pubs and restaurants shutting at 10 due to covid, this gave us 20 minutes to eat out main meals (half were taken away in plastic tubs). No baby changing facilities so had to change our 10 week old on the chair in the middle of the restaurant! First time there and certainly the last.

While most other restaurants hike up their prices for Valentines day, we were pleasantly surprised to see that this was not the case at the Indus. It was our second visit to the restaurant as we were blown away by the food and the service on our first visit. We were greeted by Nas who was suited and booted for the occasion, and presented with a complimentary glass of fizz. The restaurant which is beautiful anyway had been decorated to mark the occasion, candles, heart balloons and rose petals. Once again the food was exceptional, and the service second to none. All the ladies eating were presented with a rose at the end of the meal. I have just booked again for this weekend for what is now our absolute favourite restaurant. Thank you to Nas and all the staff for a wonderful evening.

Hi, sorry to hear you had a terrible experience but I think you are talking about the wrong restaurant as we did not re-open our doors until 24th July and you left us a review on 21st July.... We are The Indus Restaurant in Conisbrough and have no affiliation with any other Indus Restaurant other than our Sheffield Restaurants...

If it was a 'curry' night, without any delay this would be mine and my friends go to place. We spent many evenings here with a lovely atmosphere, epic customer service and ofcourse a delicious traditional curry. i ordered a takeaway for my sisters 30th birthday and the food was just as tasty as dining in.

Easily the best Indian restaurant I have ever visited! I visited for the first time and I was not disappointed!!! Firstly the restaurant itself is decorated to a high standard, the owner certainly takes pride in his restaurant and that is clear the moment you enter and are greeted with a warm and friendly smile which continued with a professional table service. As for the food, I can honestly say the curry is by far the best I have had, the lamb was tender, the curry had the most amazing flavours and they certainly made sure your curry contains plenty of meat. Living in South Yorkshire, I have plenty of excellent Indian restaurants in Sheffield, Rotherham , Bawtry and the surrounding area. The Indus restaurant is by no means the closest to me, but I won’t be giving a second thought where I will be travelling to from now on to enjoy a first class meal. Thank you! 10/10 - well worth the money spent.

This is the second time me and my girlfriend have been to Indus in the last month, it was so good the 1st time we had to try it again. When it comes to Indian food we know our stuff, we have used the same takeaway for over 10 years (along with trying every other one nearby and further a field) and didn’t think it could be beaten, same goes for most of the Indian restaurants too, well we were wrong! This food is immense!! We were both gobsmacked the 1st time that we came back last night for valentines and I have to say this is THEE BEST Indian food either of us have ever tasted. Nothing compares to this. We spent more time talking about the quality of the food shaking our heads in amazement (and taking lots of pics of it) than we did discussing anything else. We are going to try and book in again this weekend. The inside bar and dining area are designed beautifully, really clean and posh, the cobra lager and dry white wine are bang on! The service they have is excellent, so friendly and exactly what you would want. We got a chance to meet Naz last night (thanks for the complimentary Prosecco) really friendly guy and just wants everybody to have the best experience. All the waiters were dressed in burgandy/red for valentines, great themed night and decorated accordingly. He even topped our prosecco and strawberry’s up a second time then gave our lass a red rose. THE BEST!!!!

Six of us visited for the first time at The Indus with my family on a weekend and it was extremely busy. However everything seemed under control. One of the staff offered us a drink before being seated to our table in the bar area upstairs which was a very up market and modern atmosphere with a good drink selection. Once we were ready, we was seated down stairs in the main restaurant which was also a great atmosphere. I was impressed with the pickle tray that had a selection of 6 pickles which you don't usually get from a normal Indian restaurant. Starters were served pretty quick but were fresh and very tasty as we shared a few starters amongst ourselves, and the mains were even better, full of flavour and you could taste the different spices. I had a lamb honey dish and I was very impressed. The staff were very polite always making sure you were okay and if you needed anything else, the young ones seemed well trained as they all knew what they were doing. the whole experience was great and we cannot wait to be back. Thanks for a great night.

Visited here for Monday nights buffet night on 27th March. Prebooked for 6pm. The decor is outstanding. The buffet was laid out in fairly standard form with starters, salad , mains rice and bread readily available. Little disappointed in the choice of mains, all tasted the same and nothing special. Rice was okay. Luckily we were some of the first customers and it became very busy with a couple of large parties in. So we got the best of the food early on we think. Now, the spoiler of the night was the bill. The per person price for the mediocre tasting and quality buffet itself was okay. Had to do a double take at being charged £3.95 for drought soda water....its even free in places like Miller amd Carter and I've never paid for soda water in any Indian restaurant. The pickle tray that you got with the poppadoms was so inadequate in size we ordered another. There were 4 of us.....the lime pikle choice I kid you not had 2 pieces of pickle in it. We were then charged £ 3.50 for a second tray........without being told either. When challenged about this the response was less than enthusiastically along the lines of 'nowhere gives free soda water'. I know this is critical of buffet night and its been some years since we've eaten from the full menu but it will take a lot to draw us back. The waitering staff were polite and pleasant but clearly the management/ owners had more time for the regulars. Surprisingly the draught Cobra was priced very fairly at £5 pt but with a final bill of £100 for 3 adults and a teenager, felt that was steep for what it was.

We were a table of 20+ for a birthday celebration. The staff were attentive and attended to our every need. All orders were taken and brought out at the same time, so we could enjoy food together. Everything was correct. The food was served hot and was extremely tasty. The best in the area for this type of cuisine by far. I will definitely be recommending to friends and family and will be revisiting the not too distant future. Apart from the food being the highlight the management of the restaurant were very personable and made a great effort to make us feel like we were important and enabled us to continue to make us feel welcome and comfortable after we had finished eating by making the upstairs bar area available for us to continue with drinks etc. Brilliant evening, thank you!

We came here for a family dinner and the food was amazing and lovely. After a problem with my dish happened the staff were very understanding and removed the meal from our bill and gave me a new meal. If that wasn’t enough already they provided us with a round of drinks. The staff were very friendly and the manager apologised for the problem. Other than that there were no other complications with the meals and the whole thing was delicious 😊

What a stunning restaurant, we were greeted by kind and friendly staff who always had a smile on their faces! The decor was second to non with a real up market feel. The menu had a large variety of dishes to choose from and the waiter was happy to help with any questions we had regarding meals. The food was fresh and served with elegant style, loved the contemporary style and feel the restaurant gave off- the place is a real hidden gem! The restaurant was busy despite it being a weekday night I will be ditching my regular Indian and making this ones my go to from now on- you should do the same!

The food was absolutely top notch, with a good selection all perfectly cooked and perfectly sized portions. The drinks were flowing and there was a lovely atmosphere. The most amazing thing about this restaurant though is the wonderfully accommodating friendly team, they took great care of all their customers and despite being really busy took the time to really spoilt us as we had a birthday girl amongst us. Thank you for a lovely evening
