Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

IT WAS NOT TERRIBLE BUT . . . . . . having checked their website before leaving Cheltenham to check that the café was open that day and driven 50+ miles it was very annoying and disappointing to find it was CLOSED. The gentleman mowing...the front lawn (possibly the owner or manager) replied to my disappointment saying "Oh, yes, I must get around to changing it (the website)".More

We had planned a day of hiking preceded by a hearty breakfast. The latter was pivotal as many will spot! We turned up 0945hrs at the Wye Knot - closed, and no indication why, etc! That goodness for the Griffin Inn next door - saved...the day, and the breakfast was quite probably the best any of us have ever had! - thank you the Griffin Inn and I hope this review brings you more business!More

Last stopped here over 25 years ago! Lovely place to break our journey through Wales. Friendly, efficient service. We only called in for a brew but the food looked good that was being served, so maybe next time?

Found this delightful café after going through several towns and villages (on a Monday) that were all closed for the day. The Café is well presented and provided a good range of well priced meals, with good service. A great find.

Fantastic food, stopped on a little day out. Really pretty outside and welcoming. Menu was excellent value and I opted for Welsh Rarebit and salad. Both were absolutely gorgeous. My friends had Paninis and sweet potato chips, which were also delicious. If you are looking...for excellent food, I can't recommend this place higherMore

Stayed here for 2 nights with 2 others over the weekend. We stayed in the Mill room which was upstairs. From the point of booking the hosts, Paola and Jonathan, were very helpful and welcoming. The room itself had plenty of space and was nice...and cool during the heatwave which we are experiencing. Beds were also very comfortable. We found the hosts great and they were very friendly and attentive. Breakfast was lovely, and we also tried some of the cakes on sale which were sublime. Would definitely recommend visiting Wye Knot Stop for food and for an over night stay. Location was also good, with most places of interest not too far away.More

Booked last minute as I had a sudden urge for my first festive lunch of the season, so glad I did, the Turkey and trimmings were the best I've ever tasted, lots of flavour and seasoning. Have booked in for next week, cant wait!
