We stopped for breakfast sandwiches and a nice cup of coffee at The Capilano Grind. Service is very good. They have a wide variety of beverages and serve breakfast and lunch. It is connected with a church and on Sunday coffee is free. Prices mid week are very reasonable.

I found the atmosphere of the Grind serene. The record player crackling with raw, unfiltered music... The warm smell of fresh muffins and hot espresso... Truly a hidden gem in the northern Vancouver landscape.

We stopped here for a coffee whilst sightseeing in the area. We didn't realise at first that it's attached to a church but when we did, I was wowed! Interestingly, the church forms an unobtrusive part of the cafe rather than the other way round, which is more common. The coffee was great - my husband had a cappuccino which... More

This is friendly relaxing stop for coffee on the Capilano Road between the tourist Meccas of the Capilano suspension bridge and Grouse Mountain. Give some thought to a soothing cup of quality coffee and a nice iced bun in a tranquil atmosphere before diving back onto the tourist treadmill. 😎 Oh it's part of a modern church community but VERY... Lots of home baked goodies in addition to excellent coffee and a nice selection of teas. This was our last stop on our way out of town and it was worthwhile.

If this was close to home, I would switch off Starbucks - these folks make an excellent Latte - I'm sure their other drinks are just as good, but I can say that the Latte was better than Starbucks! Give it a try!

I decided to take up the challenge of the Capilano Grind (leaving wife and her walking stick enjoying the scenery). Took me 30 minutes to climb up and down again. Very steep in places but also wide walkways. Lots of great photo opportunities. In my opinion you need to be fit to do The Grind. Not super fit but fit... More
